This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 3rd day of April, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1013], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. Norfolk, Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before, [1013].

3. As we find, while there are some improvements, the taking of the compound has helped, - there was just the quantity in the three capsules that should have been in one capsule.

4. However, in the present, we would first begin with the liquid Simmons’ Liver Regulator [Simmons’ Liver Regulator is no longer available. Edgar Cayce gave a substitute for it, which can be filled by Ingram Pharmacy under EC formula 369-12 called Ambrosia Laxative]. Take this in broken doses; that is, half a teaspoonful every four hours, - of course, it is not necessary that it be taken through the night, but begin early in the morning and take until there is a good flushing of the alimentary canal. This will act upon the liver, clearing and purifying same, and keeping down those tendencies for the dull, achey, tired out, washed out feeling that naturally arises from the inclination for the strep to produce some temperature in the body.

5. After this has acted well, at least two or three times, - then have again a colonic irrigation; and repeat the irrigation - unless all the mucous is cleansed from the system.

6. DO NOT take those stimulations for the glandular reactions, or the pep tonics, until the system is cleansed. Then, the B-1 vitamins; or, for this body, we would give the One A Day brand [GD’s note: Ingram Pharmacy today, 1/28/83, says they still have One-A-Day brand and One-A-Day brand with Iron], A and B Vitamins, and the B-Complex One A Day brand. One a day of each would be sufficient, and will supply the necessary vitamins - if there is the keeping of a well balanced diet. But do not begin these until the system is thoroughly cleansed.

9. (Q) After eating, why do I have a feeling as if the food were in my throat? (A) Because it is not digesting. As indicated, the flow of the gastric juices is backing up in the stomach causing improper fermentation and not digestive forces. There needs to be a cleansing, see?

R1. 4/24/42 Cousin, Miss [307]‘s letter: “Mrs. [1013] asked me what did her reading mean when it said take ‘A and B’ vitamins. The druggist said there were none made with that combination. Please explain that to her in a letter to her or to me. She is very much better and pleased with results, but can’t understand the above.”

R2. 4/26/42 GD wrote her that such vitamin tablets were put out by Grove Laboratories, St. Louis, Mo.

R3. 6/28/42 Miss [307] reported: “[1013] is better and able to work now.”

R4. 4/3/43 She wrote thanking EC for Ck. Physical for her mother, Mrs. [326].

R6. 1/27/83 Mrs. L. R., A.R.E. Mbr. in San Jose, CA., wrote thanking GD for pinpointing Readings 1013-6 and 1013-7 in the Circulating File on HEPATITIS, saying she was improving under the treatment and “In a hard time in the earth you have been a ray of hope and of comfort.”
