This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the David E. Kahn home, 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, this 13th day of October, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1021], through Associate Membership of his wife (Mrs. [987]) in the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:30 to 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. HLC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1021] present in this room, together with his general business activity and especially as related to the swimming pool property located at 160 W. 146th St., N.Y.C. You will advise him regarding the proper handling of this property and answer the questions he will submit as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1021]; the body we have had here before.

3. In the consideration of the associations and the activities, and especially as related to the disposition - or the active forces in creating an outlet for this particular property, as we find there may be serious consideration given to the perfecting of this through the City cooperation and organization headed by individuals ESPECIALLY associated with the recent activities of an individual who has become much in the limelight - that is, one called or named Joe Louis. Through such an organization, with the cooperation of City activities, we find this may be made to become not only a good proposition for those that might handle same in such a manner but become a means and a channel through which there might be activities that would make for the disposal of same in a manner commensurate with that desired by the body, [1021].

4. These are the conditions as we find.

5. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) Just how should the body go about to make these connections between the City and in relation to Louis? (A) Those in authority or in the handling of same, with the City officials or City authorities, that it may be made a cooperative advantageous handling of properties for such activities as this is prepared for.

7. (Q) Does that mean that I should stop action to sell the property to the City and block the action to build another pool by the City in vicinity? (A) As we find, this would rather be the manner or the means of blocking same; having the City to handle this through such activities. See?

8. (Q) There should be no court action taken with the City in opposition to the other pool? (A) With this as a proposition to the City and the officials, as we find, it would naturally prevent same; though action as to time that it may be protected until such an activity may be consummated would necessarily be begun - unless there is the agreement between the City officials or authorities and [1021] to dispose of same or to give the opportunity of such for its consummation.

9. (Q) Just what part should Louis play in it, and how should [1021] go about it? (A) Through those that handle the moneys of Louis, or the managers.

10. (Q) Should I get Louis interested as an active party? (A) Get him interested as an active party, because this would appeal not only to the body as an individual but as to activities that would make for the greater expanse of sensibility of the individual.

11. (Q) Is the idea to have Louis keep the pool, or sell the pool to the city? (A) It would be the idea to have Louis as an interest through which the city may be made to see the necessities of this being handled in such a way and manner. And interested, to be sure.

12. (Q) What would you suggest as a new line of endeavor for this entity, [1021]? (A) This may best be approached through what have been the activities of the entity through the experiences in the earth, and that as related to the developments of the entity and the desires.

As we would find, that which is near unto the general activities in the present - if they are expanded in developments of any given or any particular portion, or the expansion in the real estate activities in sections or the like. These, as we find, would be special interests at this time - when these conditions are cleared.

13. (Q) What is meant by a golden cord running through the astrological and numerological and earth’s experience of an entity? [as per wife’s 987-1 Life Rdg.] (A) This, to be sure, is as the emblematical activity of that which is the central desire of a soul in its relationships to the Creative Forces throughout its experiences into materiality, or mortality.

Hence, as the inference or the suggestive note as to the golden cord is as the endearing, the enlivening, the activity of the soul in its relationships to the universal influence or forces - and its connections through its activities in its various manifestations in experiences in the earth.

This is what is presented.

14. (Q) Are there any other suggestions or advice for the body at this time? (A) As just indicated, much might be given the body in the present for its activities, for its interests through the experience of the entity in the earth’s plane; and those influences or activities that might through such experience make for the adherence to or the holding to this cord - as indicated - in the experience of the entity as an individual; as to its appearances and to its activities in the earth.

In the general, as sought here, we would carry on with the associations as respecting the properties indicated; but as we would find, those suggestions as related to one in such a position as Louis attained - as considered through the city and through the natives of the surroundings - would make for an opportunity for the disposal of same to great advantage.
