TEXT OF READING 1055-3 M 51

Date: 3/6/1937 Sex: M Age: 51 ReadingID: 6189
This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of March, 1937, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [1055], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment.
[Edgar Cayce; Hugh Lynn Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Gertrude Cayce and Burt Davis.]
Time of Reading 10:25 to 10:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Tenn. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [1055].
-
Here we find if there had been the adherence to those suggestions that have been given for the corrections, in a more consistent manner, there would be a great deal more of improvements in the general physical forces of the body.
-
The little adherence at times to the diet as indicated tends to keep the circulatory forces so upset as to continue with the effects of poisons not eliminated. Neither is there the coordination between the eliminating and assimilating forces of the body.
-
In the present, as we find, with the adherence to those suggestions in the diet, and these treatments as we will suggest here, we would find much better conditions for this body.
-
Occasionally (or once a week or such a matter, or three times in two weeks), we would have the general osteopathic manipulation with special reference to the coordinating of the emptying of the stomach and the activity of the lower hepatic circulation; that is, in the corrective measures that would be given.
-
Each day we would use the Radio-Active Appliance to keep a normal balance in the circulation and to reionize as it were the whole of the vibratory forces of the body. In the use of the Appliance the plates should be kept very close in contact when attached to the opposite sides of the body, yet not so binding as to hinder the pulsation or circulation.
-
These we would do.
-
And in the diets keep that which has been outlined.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What benefit, if any, would result from a trip to Hot Springs? (A) Virginia, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado - which one?
-
(Q) Which one of these would be the better for the body? (A) As WE find, Hot Springs, Virginia would be the better; for this would keep the body more in the open.
If we are to take into consideration such treatments, as we find the sulphur or chalybeate springs of Kentucky would be more preferable than either of these; or the mud baths at Cannelton, Indiana - but this is not just the season for same.
The Hot Springs of Arkansas for this body as we find would not be the better, for these would cause such an overactivity as to be harmful - unless these coordinations are produced now as indicated. When there had been six to eight adjustments osteopathically, the use of the Radio-Active Appliance each day for two to three to four weeks, THEN the massage AND the baths at Hot Springs, Arkansas WOULD be helpful; provided there is not the attempt to overexercise the body under these conditions.
Then we would, if there is the desire of the body for the use of those beneficial effects from the Hot Springs, Arkansas, have the adjustments, adhere to the diet, have the use of the Appliance for at least three or four weeks, and then this will prove more helpful.
- We are through with this reading.

ASSOCIATION FOR RESEARCH AND ENLIGHTENMENT, INC., Virginia Beach, Virginia
INDIVIDUAL CASE REPORT
Date of Reading: March 6, 1937 Case No. 1055-3
(PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS CAREFULLY)
(1) In your opinion did the analysis of the Reading cover the condition? Explain any variation. Don’t recall the analysis.
(2) Give symptoms of condition described correctly? An itching-burning-soreness in lower limbs and feet causing the continuous desire to rub HARD down deep - to bone - this condition is ever present. This condition is present over the entire body.
(3) What was the physician’s analysis of this condition? A nervous condition of permanent character.
(4) Have the suggestions given in the Reading been followed exactly as outlined? For the time indicated, yes.
(5) For how long? Six weeks exactly, as outlined. Nearly four months carefully.
(6) Describe the extent to which improvements have resulted? Definitely no improvement but a gradual trend to worse.
(7) Comment. Have used the battery once per day for from 40 to 90 minutes each time since and including March 9th, 37. Have had osteopathic treatments twice per week for same period. Would you predict that a continuance of the battery and osteopathic treatments be worth while? If another reading would - in your opinion - indicate a change of treatment or suggest a remedy that would be of benefit name the time and will co-operate. The battery we have has quite a few cracks and the sealing wax on top is broken. Would an exchange of batteries be worth while? Enclosing Osteopath’s analysis.

R2. 6/29/37 Osteopath’s analysis:
(1) (a) Did the Reading presented to you describe the condition of the patient? (b) Explain any variation. (c) Give your technical diagnosis. (a) yes (b) none (c) Intestinal autointoxication
(2) Were the suggestions for treatments in your opinion proper for this condition? Yes
(3) For what period of time has the patient followed directions given in the Reading under your care? March 9th to June 29th, 1937.
(4) What results have you observed? No material change. This patient presents a history of spastic constipation, the most difficult type, in my opinion, to control. The paraesthesias result from the intestinal toxemia, and a low-type gall duct inflammation. Persistent treatment will, in my opinion, alleviate or possibly cure the condition.
(5) Comment.

(We will appreciate it if you will include a technical analysis of your findings.)
R3. 7/7/37 Ltr. to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce. Virginia Beach, Va.,
Dear Mr. Cayce:-
Received your favor of the 2nd inst for which I thank you.
One would think that four months of osteopathic treatments (2 per week) or 106 treatments, would be enough to develop some benefit, otherwise, the treatments appear to be useless.
Will ask that you check on the condition and find wherein a change would be indicative of wanted results.
Herewith is check for $10. and would suggest that you give a check reading.
Will send the appliance to Home Remedies Co that they may check it, as there appears no way to tell whether or not it is working.
Kindly advise as to time of check reading. would like it to be next Thursday July 15th around 10 AM-CST if that suits you.
Thanking you and with best wishes from Mrs. C & myself,
I am, Very truly yours. [1055]
R4. 7/10/37 EC’s letter:
Dear Mr. [1055];-

Thanks, and hoping to be of a service. be sure and let us have the questions before that time.
With all good wishes Sincerely Edgar Cayce
R5. 7/13/37 From [1055]:
Will be on hand from 9.30 to 10.30 AM, C.S.T. Thursday July 15th.
Should the osteopathic treatments be continued? Should the appliance treatments be continued? should there be any remedy taken internally? Would Sun-baths be recommended?
