This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Warshawsky home, 3046 Webb Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, this 24th day of November, 1935, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. […], recommended by Miss [954] and sponsored by Mr. Dale Parker, Active Research Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1064].

2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the normal functioning of the bodily activities in the body.

3. These, as we find, may be aided in resuming not only their development but an activity where the body may be in that position or condition where normal functioning of the disturbed portions may act.

4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1064].

5. In the physical forces of the body, we find there have been disturbances to the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic or vegetative nerve systems, in such a manner that these injuries in the 3rd and 4th dorsal, in the 3rd and 5th cervical, have impaired the nerves’ supply to the sensory system; especially as related to the development of - and the activity of - the vocal cords.

6. These, then, in this condition which exists in the present, are unable - through the lack of impulse from the nerve plexus in those areas indicated - to perform the coordinations with the rest of the system, or the impulses that even arise from the auditory activities or from the vision’s activities, or even from the desires that arise for the supplying of those actions necessary for the sustenance through this particular function.

7. But these being developed in other directions make for activities that, unless corrections are made now - during the developing periods in the bodily structures of the body, will prevent this coordination throughout the experience of this body in the earth’s plane.

8. In making the applications, as we find, it will be necessary that elements be added in the plasm of the replenishing system of the body, to make for the natural changes in the activity of a physical organism, such as to review or revivify, and to make for resuscitating forces.

9. Also there must be applied DIRECT the influences and forces that will bring to the body not only the elements in the plasm of the blood, in the flow of the circulation in the nerve energies themselves, but a revivifying in those portions that supply the impulse to those afflicted portions directly.

10. Hence, as we find in the present, we would make application of two forms of electrical vibrations. As the body-energies are of an electronic nature, and the activities that make for the sustaining and rebuilding of influences that keep the bodily functions alive are electronic, these natures for this particular condition would then be applied - and for these reasons:

11. First we would have, at least for periods of three to four weeks at a time, twice a week, the ultra-violet ray - applied to those areas about those tendencies for the lack of expression to those portions of the system disturbed, as indicated. These treatments would be given not longer than one and a half to two minutes, and at least forty inches from the body. Rather than the carbon, use the mercury quartz light; which is the more penetrating. And its activity upon the tissue must be of such a nature that a change of impulse is created through those ganglia in the areas indicated.

12. Following each of these applications, there should be a massage; not only of the areas where the rays of the electrical forces have made for the deeper activity or deeper therapy, but the superficial activity. A massage along the cerebrospinal forces from the middle dorsal areas to the base of the brain; those through the vagus centers about the thorax and about the vocal cords themselves. A GENERAL massage. Not corrections, but as to form a stimulation for impulse or circulation through nerve forces.

13. We would also each day, for the periods when the deep therapy applications are used, except on the specific days when the deep therapy treatments are given, we would use the low electrical vibrations of the galvanic nature, that carry to the system electronic energies through metals that may revivify and add to the system by the very act of the lower energies created - the electrical forces of Chloride of Gold; the proportions of one grain to one ounce of distilled water. The attachments would be made in this manner:

14. The smaller copper anode would be attached first, at the plexus between the 3rd and 4th cervical area; that the ganglia there, in coordination with the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system, may make for coordinations in the body.

15. The larger nickel anode, passing through the Gold Solution, would be attached last - to the frontal portion of the body, over the throat - where there is the activity of the vocal forces or vocal box.

16. These applications, through such a Wet Cell Appliance, would be made each day (except the two days of the week when the ultra-violet is given) for two weeks; twenty to thirty minutes at each treatment.

17. The ultra-violet would be given twice a week for two to three weeks, with the massage following same.

18. By the second or third period or round of these applications, in rotation, changes will begin to occur. Guttural sounds at first, then coordinant. And then, in less than eight months, a normal body.

19. Do that.

20. We are through for the present.

Mr. […], take this reading to Miss [954], and get her to get in touch with Mr. Parker. I’m sure that between the two, with Dr. Dobbins’ cooperation, arrangements can be made so that your little girl can get started on the treatments right away. Let us hear from you.

As you understand from the reading, there should be a period or round for two, three to four weeks, then a rest period of a week or two, and then begin again; and so on - continuing in that rotation until the body is normal. GD.)

I’m sure that if you both will talk with Dr. Dobbins regarding the case, he will be glad to cooperate and charge as little money as possible for his services - if you can manage to order the Appliance and get someone in the home to conscientiously familiarize self with the procedure and make the applications accordingly.]

My wife and I have consulted and tried several other people to try to effect a cure for her, but what we read in the letter we rec’d from you seems more feasible than any.”

B1. 10/10/35 Miss [954]‘s note to EC in N.Y.: “This will introduce to you Mr. […] who has a little girl who has never talked and whom he loves very much. Through the kindness of Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce a clinic reading has been arranged for the future, but in the meantime Mr. […] was anxious to talk with you.”

Thinks there may have been an accident by knocking head against part of carriage when carriage slipped away one day (4 mo.) Taken with convulsions soon after Treated at Nursing and Child’s Hospital 63rd & 10th Ave., (Now at Medical Center) There they tapped the spine…and stated she would be a 100 per cent baby if “she could talk.” (about 9 or 11 mos.) Was there about 4 days for observation.

Had convulsions until she was 21 months old.

Treated by Dr. M. C. Pease (Baby Specialist) 155 East 62nd St., New York City Gave her thyroid medicine Stopped because too expensive “Just a matter of time.” If didn’t talk when 7 years old might talk when 12 or 13
