This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of March, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1080], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 4:15 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes. (He’s had to converse with someone now.)

2. We have the body here, [1080], this we have had before.

3. As we find, there are changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same; yet not all are for the betterment or the improvement of the conditions that have been indicated as disturbing factors.

4. The causes of this, as we find, are twofold.

5. First, in the beginning there was the MENTAL reaction of the body, and the applications that were made for corrective measures along the cerebrospinal system were adhered to in a very definite manner for a few treatments. But after a few days (on the fifth, to be exact), there began to be the slacking up and more of the ADJUSTMENTS (and some of these incorrect) than following those outlines as indicated.

6. Hence we have had the tendencies for the digestive forces of the body to become more and more disturbed, and there is an effluvium or a disturbance in the circulation from the lack of proper drainages through portions of the system; and the activity upon the digestive fluids of those secretions that should be activative WITH the digestive forces from the liver has produced this.

7. Hence we have a restlessness, with more of an irritation in the extremities; we have a weakness at times and a dizziness that make for disturbing conditions.

8. As we would find in the present, then, we would change somewhat those applications that have been indicated. Or first we would DRAIN the gall duct, and THEN - as the body recuperates from this - we would begin with the general manipulative forces AS HAS BEEN INDICATED, and FOLLOW these closely! And we will find there will be not only the better feelings but a permanent reaction, or the CAUSES will begin to disappear that have made for the slowing up of the activities through the circulatory forces of the body, in the superficial as well as in the deeper circulation.

9. As we find, then, this would be the manner in which we would accomplish the draining of the gall duct; preferably under the supervision of a regular physician, but in this manner:

10. Take Zilatone Tablets. This compound is of such a nature that it will work with the gastric flow of the body itself. The liver, the spleen, the pancreas ALL will work together - if taken in this manner:

11. Take two tablets of an evening before retiring. The next morning, after the breakfast meal (and hour to an hour and a half afterwards), take two more tablets. When ready to retire in the evening take two more tablets. And each time when taking the tablets, drink at least two glasses of water.

12. The NEXT morning before arising (after the third dose of the Zilatone tablets has been taken the night before, you see), take a tablespoonful of Fleet’s Phospho-Soda, in a whole glass of water as hot as the body can drink. Then drink another glass of plain hot water. Lie on the right side, with a pillow or something to HOLD the area about the liver as tightly against the body as possible. In an hour there should be a THOROUGH DRAINING of the gall duct. Best that the body that day be not too active upon the feet.

13. And during the days that the tablets are taken, let the diet be rather of the semi-liquid nature; as beef broths, whole vegetable broths, or cereal or milk - especially buttermilk. Any of these during that period, with brown bread or the like; but not meats. Of course, vegetables - or even a little sweets may be taken, but not heavy foods.

14. Then, following this, in the next day or two afterwards, begin with the regular outline that has been indicated.

15. Should this drainage be required again, by the very changes that come about, in two to three weeks this might be repeated. This depends upon the activity and upon the manner in which the CORRECTIVE forces are given along the cerebrospinal system.

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) What is the source of my trouble? (A) NOW those conditions that have been indicated, which have become aggravated by the lack of the proper drainages from the activities of the gall duct.

18. (Q) Was the “rash” mentioned in the reading referring to a condition under the skin, or externally? (A) Under the skin, which comes from this effluvium as we have indicated - that should have been removed, or by the proper adjustments or the CORRECTING as we indicated along the system - cerebrospinal system - WOULD have disappeared. This has become MORE SEVERE in the present and has broken through EXTERNALLY in some portions.

19. (Q) Should the Radio-Active Appliance and the enemas be continued? (A) These would be left off until after the thorough CLEANSING of the system. And then the enemas, as indicated in the beginning, would only be used to keep the system from clogging, as it were, through a distended colon area.

20. (Q) The Radio-Active Appliance should be resumed also? (A) The Radio-Active Appliance would be resumed FOLLOWING the beginning of the corrective or manipulative treatments.

21. (Q) Would rectal heat still be helpful? If so, should this be given through the Elliot Appliance, or how? (A) This would be HELPFUL through the Elliot Appliance, as it aids in keeping down those disturbances in portions of the sphincter centers as indicated were disturbed in times back. But this will NOT be so necessary if there is the proper cleansing and the proper care afterward of the area indicated.

Do as we have given here, and we should build definite helpful conditions that will become more and more helpful rather than clogging the system again.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

Your recent communication was duly received, and I have endeavored to the best of my ability to carry out the instructions given in your communication.

I am frank to say that your last reading seems to have been more corrective in practice than the former, although you were correct in stating that I did not follow your instructions as thoroughly as I should.

I am enclosing herewith a check for $10.00 and I hope to be able to write you later on that my condition is vastly improved.
