[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 5:10 to 5:25 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1092].
-
Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body, and these are only partially understood by those making application for the betterments. Yet there should be proper consideration given to the body, its surroundings, its desires, its attitudes. And unless there is the enabling of the body to WHOLEHEARTEDLY enter into that as WE find would be the more helpful in this condition, WE would not advise that the body follow in ANY respect those suggestions as WE find are the proper even for the conditions.
-
For to make a combination, or to endeavor to impel without the physical desires for this purposefulness as may be created, these would not be the better conditions.
-
As we find, the infectious forces that are causing the numbness, the slowing up of the heart’s activities, the conditions that make for this tendency of BLOATING in a manner through the system, arise from a disturbance in the spleen. And, naturally, those things of the MENTAL body, those conditions of the digestive system, those conditions of the heart’s circulation, as related to the heart, the liver, the lungs, become partially involved. Also the locomotory centers become involved, both in the reflex from the 9th dorsal plexus that governs in the greater main the disturbances and in the reflex that makes for the mental coordinations, also these activities in the extremities through the brachial center.
-
While those applications that are being made are in a manner effective, we find that they are AFFECTIVE rather than EFFECTIVE in a CURATIVE influence. And the greater expression might be found by the use of those influences that may be had from the OSTEOPATHIC operative forces, making for a distribution through DRAINAGES as would be set up by stimulating those specific centers; not only the plexus itself but those that coordinate with same to the activities from the locomotory centers in both directions. Also by the eliminations set up by rather colonics with rubs that might be given from combinations of oil, that would be the greater effective forces for this body.
-
But unless these can be maintained in the manner as indicated, wholeheartedly, without reserve, do not begin any.
-
It would be necessary that the osteopathic manipulations be given three times a week in the beginning, and especially from those areas indicated.
-
The colonics would be given, or the colonic irrigations, at least twice the first month, and then WHENEVER necessary for the reduction of those tendencies for dilation through the eliminating channels - and through the alimentary canal more specifically, as well as reducing toxic forces.
-
For unless the toxic forces are removed, as we find, the infection will more and more eat into the cords themselves; thus making for conditions where there would not only be a mental recurrence of the former activities of the body but more inability for locomotion.
-
Choose.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What would be the oils to be used as a rub? (A) These had best be given at the time the DECISIONS are made as to whether these are to be used or not! For this depends upon whether they are to strike in for an affectation upon the nerve forces that accompany the activity of the blood circulation, or upon whether they are to be carried more for a superficial activity.
-
(Q) What produced the infectious forces in the spleen? (A) An overtaxation MENTALLY, and anxiety. These first set up distressed forces, and then brought about - as it were - the inabilities of proper eliminations.
-
We are through for the present.

B1. 6/15/35 Mr. [257]‘s letter: “In reference [1092], you know, of course, he is …‘s leading Rabbi and they were afraid that in some way people might know of his interest in our work. He is, but we know what a public figure has to contend with. Yet he is down to 130 lbs. and is on the decline and they are terribly worried. For years I have wanted to tell him about the work but just did not see him - and again he needs you now. They will write. I have spent several evenings talking to them about the work and they, of course, saw the reading here.”
B2. 6/17/35 Rabbi [1092]‘s daughter’s wire: “Regret unable to have reading tomorrow eleven thirty. Thank you.”
B3. 1/1/36 Rabbi [1092]‘s son, phoned these questions, asking for emergency reading:
- What is the source of these conditions?
- Is there an infection in the system?
- Are the present treatments availing?
