This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of December, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1100], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:3O to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Penna.

1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: [When locating the street and number] - “That’s a right pretty tree on the corner!”

3. Yes; we have the body here, [1100]; this we have had before.

4. As we find, the general physical forces of the body are very good - in the present.

5. Owing to those inclinations and tendencies, however, and the climatic surroundings in the present especially, with such conditions as arise from the atmospheric pressures and the ladening of same with those influences that would tend to irritate especially the respiratory system, - it would be well that the body check on itself occasionally as to the alkalinity, or acidity of the system.

6. Check with litmus paper, both the saliva and the urine, for acids.

7. When there is the tendency towards the acids, then alkalize with lemons, especially, or lemon and orange.

8. This as we find would materially aid in keeping a better normal equilibrium, if this is done.

9. Do it, say, once a week or the like. DON’T take an excess of the alkalines unless there is indicated an acid reaction.

10. It would be well occasionally, also, to have the general manipulations osteopathically for the relief of the tensions along the system.

11. And in other respects we would keep much of those suggestions that have been indicated for the reactions as may occur from time to time with a normal reacting system.

13. (Q) Is there an osteopath in … who gives a good, deep treatment and who might be open-minded to the work of the Association? (A) Such might be obtained through any of the associations of those from other cities who are acquainted with the members of the profession in that particular environ; or there might be those indicated, that might be found from same, who have been associated at some time with the activities of the Work.

14. (Q) Just what are the effects of Pluto, in conjunction with one’s ascendant? (A) This as we find is entirely amiss from what we might call a physical expression, - but, as we find indicated, these are a development that is occurring in the universe, or environs about the earth - Pluto. Not as some have indicated, that it is gradually being dissipated. It is gradually GROWING, and thus is one of those influences that are to be as a demonstrative activity in the future affairs or developments of man towards the spiritual-minded influences, or those influences outside of himself.

These in the present, as might be said, are merely the becoming AWARE of same. Rather within the next hundred to two hundred years there may be a great deal of influence upon the ascendancy of man; for it’s closest of those to the activities of the earth, to be sure, and is a DEVELOPING influence, and not one already established. 15. (Q) What are the effects of Neptune, in conjunction with the Sun, in one’s horoscope? (A) Neptune, of course, is the water sign, and is of the farther distance; and in conjunction with the Sun in the sign of the individual is that inclination - or having the effect upon the individual through that particular period - of being open-minded to spiritual or higher influences of the mystical nature, - as represented in the figure of the body through those particular periods.

16. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Much might be given respecting this, of course, here pursued.

“Thank you so much for the readings and your dear letter.

“Yes, there is an unusually lovely tree on the corner of our apartment building. The building is four stories high and the tree is slightly taller. [This example of EC’s clairvoyance was used in HLC’s 4/40 article, A STUDY OF CLAIRVOYANCE.]

“The information given should be very helpful and the astrological information is especially interesting; shall try to live up to some of it, anyway…”
