This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the wife - Mrs. [1010], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Ala.

1. GC: You will answer the questions regarding this body as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes. As we find the body is some little better. The acute conditions in the glandular force of neck, though, are coordinating or correlated with the activities of the kidneys and the adrenals - the areas just above the kidneys and the bladder.

3. We would apply over the kidney area a thin layer of coarse salt (or table salt) with a few drops of turpentine put in same. Don’t put too much turpentine - only three to five drops, not more than that to the amount of salt needed for the whole pack. Then apply low heat.

4. On the throat apply three to four thicknesses of cotton cloth saturated with Glyco-Thymoline, full strength, normal temperature - not heat applied.

5. Also gargle the throat with Glyco-Thymoline.

6. Change the diet somewhat. Eat plenty of raw carrots, plenty of beets and turnips. These will aid the body in the regular diet and will make for much better conditions.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Have I Nephritis? (A) Not yet, but this may come from same if there is greater irritation continually arising from the kidneys. These things indicated are to set up drainages.

It may be necessary for the body to drink coca-cola, (but use plain water, not carbonated) or to put a little lithia tablet in the drinking water - after using these packs.

9. (Q) Any other suggestions? (A) Keep the attitude of hopefulness and helpfulness.

Do massage the body, especially in the area from the 3rd cervical downward.

R1. 11/4/43 Wife’s letter: “We were happy to get readings. Mr. [1112] is back at office, still weak. Was in bed nearly 4 wks. Dr. had him at hospital two days, one night, for observation. Strange to say, they had given him the Coca-Cola the day after your reading, before we got it.”

R2. 8/30/52 Friend Mrs. [1100]‘s report to GD: “Did you know that Mr. [1112] passed away? Mrs. [1010] wrote that he died with virus pneumonia shortly after her birthday - in April 1952.”

B2. 9/28/43 Wife [1010]‘s letter thanking EC for her own Ck. Physical: “Just have to be able to nurse my husband. He is very, very sick. His head has been hurting in back of head and neck for a month or more. He took violently sick last Wed. - face, jaws, eyes swollen, then over eyes, following veins, running to center top. Red lumps formed, tongue swollen, can hardly move jaws. Sore throat. No pain anywhere else. But this morning seems better, no temperature for first time since Wed. last. In fact he has had fever for a month or more, nearly every day. Had him take a thorough examination three weeks ago. Dr. said they found nothing wrong. They are so busy, I know they did not analyze urine or would have found the pus, as the Dr. we now have found it. Just rec’d a letter from [1100]. She told us how busy you are, so haven’t much hope of getting one in for [1112]. Am praying you can, you blessed man.” Love, Mother [1010]
