Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1130]; this we have had before.
-
Here it might easily be said, from existent conditions, “We told thee so.”
-
The conditions as we find in the present indicate how the inflammation has gradually increased, with the disturbance through the abdominal area, the effect upon the whole of the nervous system, the depleting of the strength and vitality, the weakness that occurs in the arms and the limbs; from the lack of the proper circulation through the areas indicated where impingements are in the cerebrospinal system.
-
And almost the whole end of the stomach or through the duodenum and the entrance to the jejunum are closed.
-
Thus the swelling, thus we find the weakness, the inability to retain food in its proper way and manner - or for assimilation to take place.
-
These may become very serious unless there is something done ABOUT the condition.
-
As we find there must in the present be those applications that would make for reducing the disturbance or the condition, even before the adjustments - as we have indicated that are needed in the cerebrospinal system - may be done effectively.
-
These we would find, then; that:
-
We would use Packs of saturated solution of Baking Soda. Or take very heavy towels, wet them thoroughly, hot, and between same put a quarter inch layer of Baking Soda. Then cover this with the other end of towel, then put another heavy towel over same. Put this over the swollen areas, see?
-
Also we would give almost immediately high enemas to relieve this general disturbance through the colon area.
-
On the morrow, after there has been the full evacuation of the colon area, begin to have the adjustments made.
-
As we find these would require six or eight such treatments, at least - of the adjustments.
-
There SHOULD be the ability then, with the next two or three days after these adjustments are begun, for the body to exercise again. But there must be precautions that there is not too heavy lifting, too much of that taken that would cause again the increasing of the inflammation through the stomach, duodenum and the upper portion of the jejunum. Else we may have become involved not only the liver and the gall duct but lacerations that would become much more serious conditions.
-
But we MUST keep, every few days, the removal of inflammatory conditions as will be thrown off by the use of the Soda applications over the areas. These (the Soda Packs) would be kept during the day for two to three hours, left off a couple of hours and then used again.
-
This should change these conditions unless greater inflammation arises.
-
The Osteopathic manipulations or adjustments should be given at least every other day. Give these to make the adjustments in the cerebrospinal system, as we have first indicated.
-
At least twice each day we would massage the body with an equal combination of Mutton Suet, Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor; not only along the back but over the stomach and abdomen, also the muscular forces of arms and lower limbs. This will be most beneficial in removing the soreness and in giving strength to the body. It will stimulate the circulation, stimulate the activity, yet reduce inflammatory conditions. This will require or necessitate, then, that there be a tepid sponge bath all over, morning and evening following such a massage.
-
In the diets, we would keep closely to pre-digested or liquid and semi-liquid foods, rather than too much of the heavy foods. For roughness, to be sure, will tend to increase inflammation. Hence vegetable soups, cereals, milk and malted milk - any strengthening foods. Milk with a little spirits frumenti or egg in same - any that gives strength without requiring too much dilation to the stomach or intestinal system in its activity through same. These for the next few days, at least, should be the principal portion of the diet.
-
Do these.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes pain and frequent passing of urine? (A) The attempt of the lower hepatic circulation to keep down inflammation. Hence the application of the Soda Packs in such manners as we have indicated.
Do these if we would bring the better conditions for this body.
- We are through with this Reading.
