R1. 5/19/36 Son-in-law’s letter to HLC: “Thank you very much for your letter of 5/13th enclosing report on arthritis case [951]. After the rdg. on Mrs. [1147] you mentioned you would be glad to give another rdg. on her without charge. If you would like to do this, I will be happy to arrange the time to suit your convenience. Thank you again for the report and the opportunity I had of witnessing the rdgs.”
R2. 6/19/36 HLC’s letter: “As I told you in N.Y. we will be glad to a arrange for another rdg. I felt that your remarks to my father regarding the doctor’s attitude in this case created a subconscious barrier to the attunement. On the other hand the conditions may be such - as indicated in the reading - that changes would be detrimental. Our desire to be of assistance is paramount, but naturally we are interested in knowing more about improving the conditions surrounding a rdg. so that the best results possible may be obtained in each case. If it meets with your approval we will set the appointment for 7/6th from 11 to 12 standard time. Kindly confirm this period and give the address where Mrs. [1147] will be or indicate if it will be the same as before. I shall be glad to listen at this rdg. and add such questions as seem wise in order to clear up this matter and obtain suggestions that will be of help.”

He couldn’t understand why if we had had a successful treatment for another arthritis case [951], no details were given for Mrs. [1147].
