This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at Selma, Alabama, this 19th day of September, 1923, requested by her husband, Mr. [2265], via Mr. [953].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, the abnormal conditions in the body, that may be corrected at the present time, we find have to do with two specific conditions within the body, and organic conditions, and the effect as these conditions with this organic forces have upon the system throughout.

2. Now, these are conditions, as we find them, in this body, Mrs. [1186] we are speaking of, … Avenue, Chicago, Ill.

3. In the blood supply we find there is being carried through the circulation the effect of the condition as exists in the trunk portion of the body and to give the rise to the unbalanced condition of the blood supply in pressure and temperature at times. This is not so much the condition of the blood from its source of supply as of the blood itself attempting to carry out its functions of supply of nutriment from the system. In the numbers we find the red blood deficient in rebuilding and in the ability to meet at all times the needs of the body. In the white blood we find an over amount of the lymphatic force, there attempting to create the proper corrallin [corralling?] of the forces to expel and to create coagulation in its proper manner where tissue becomes broken, as it does in this body at times.

4. In the nerve forces we find the taxed condition in nerve force rather of the sympathetic nature than of being produced by temperamental condition of the body, as well as the distress as is brought to the body with the conditions as exist through the intestinal tract in that of the organs of the pelvis themselves that create much of the trouble, for there we have the organic conditions as exist or in displacement of the organs themselves of the pelvis, see? That produces the irritation and excites the nerve forces to the extent of causing this over sensitive force, the over taxation to the body. In the sympathetic nerve forces this becomes only occasion of the action reflexly through sympathetics. With this, and the nausea as caused to the pneumogastric, becomes to the head a reflex agent to the sensory organs.

5. In the functioning of the organs themselves we find those of the sensory system rather of a spasmodic affection than of an organic condition. Lung forces show the effect and strain on the organs by the condition of the blood supply as this is produced in the conditions produced in the body. Heart forces, only with the action of the distressed forces where organic forces show their effect upon the system, does the heart force itself become distressed, so not an organic condition but rather of the sympathetic. The digestive forces reaction very poor, as the taxation from the pelvic organs produce nausea through the sympathetic force of the intestinal and hepatic circulation. Liver slow, non-active at times. Intestinal tract, the lower portion, inclined to be too non-active on any of the sedimentary forces as is taken in the system to subdue or to subside pain to the body and the bodily functioning of the organs.

6. Those of the kidneys stimulated above the normal to reduce the taxation, and from this we find much of the condition as is shown in the blood supply not being eliminated and the uric acid forces and the improper conditions carried back in the system. Hence, the anaemic [anemic] to some of the respiratory system in the taxation of elimination. In the organs of the pelvis we find that the condition of misplacement in the uterus proper is caused by a hurt to the body from outside, as is shown in the lesions and as formed at the fourth lumbar vertebra, see? and the Fallopian tube becomes congested and produces the catarrhal condition as is shown in discharge at times.

7. To relieve the condition, we would, first, by heat apply to the lumbar regions relax the condition there. This had best be vapor heat, or water warmed high and applied to this portion of the body. Then the adjustment through osteopathic forces to relieve conditions there. Then the local treatment to the condition in the uterus proper - see? for the placement of organs there, and take into the system as the stimulus for the blood, nerve and the sedative forces, as would be found in this, but do not take other narcotic or sedative forces.

Tincture of Valerian…2 ounces, Bromide of Potassium…10 grains, Iodide of Potassium…1 grain, Elixir Celerena…2 ounces, Elixir Calisaya…1 ounce, Peptone…1 ounce.

Sufficient simple syrup to make 12 ounces.

8. The dose would be two teaspoonsful three times each day. Take after meals. The massage, osteopathic forces, should be taken until the adjustments are made through the lumbar regions, and the local treatment sufficient to give the correct position to the organs. This we will find will bring this body to its normal forces.

9. Do that. We are through.
