[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis and Jeanette Fitch, Stenos.]

Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, N.Y.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1188]; this we have had before, you see?

  3. There are many changes that have come about in the general physical forces of the body, since last we had same here. The corrective measures which are being taken for the recuperation of the vertebrae, and the activity through the spine, are very well done. These, if they are held to and taken advantage of, should be in the next two or three months much improved; and then when the brace is removed, do almost daily, to prevent the tiring of the body and to enable it to recuperate the better, massage the areas of the spine very gently; but more along the sympathetic system than the cerebrospinal, for the weakness will still exist there. But the massage should consist primarily of the Peanut Oil, so that which is absorbed (and there will be much) will work together for the betterment of balance with the mental and spiritual forces of this body.

  4. As to the activities; when there is the ability for the removal of these braces, we would have, not too severe, but gradually, exercise for the body. Walking at first will be the preferable. There is very good healing and these are progressing satisfactorily.

  5. The digestive upsets: There are being taken supplementary diets which are not being assimilated. This is tending to upset the digestive system. We would add the B1, but not too much of A if the body is in the open, not yet too much of D, but we would add the wheat germ, either those which are put on cereals or as may be in the pellets, as the wheat germ oil. This as we find would be the more satisfactory way to take them.

  6. The activities then, if they are kept in that manner with the massage as indicated, when this is taken with the Peanut Oil, will bring better conditions for the body.

  7. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) Where should the massage be given? (A) The massage should be rather on each side of the spine and on the spine itself, so that the centers, as in the 3rd cervical, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dorsal, 9th dorsal and lumbar axis, where they connect between nerves of the sympathetic system and the cerebrospinal system, from the closer activities between these two systems. These we would do, then.

  9. (Q) Should he leave off the Vitamin A completely and continue the One-A-Day? (A) Just One-A-Day, leave off the A. This is causing indigestion. Wheat germ once a day.

  10. (Q) How much milk should he drink? (A) Two glasses should be sufficient for twenty-four hours.

  11. (Q) What foods should be added and what eliminated in the diet? (A) The diet is very well balanced, through we would add the raw vegetables as combined with gelatin rather often.

  12. (Q) Will school away from home this fall be preferable to local high school for best good of entity? (A) Local high school will be more preferable under the circumstances and conditions for the body this fall.

  13. (Q) Any further suggestions for his general improvement? (A) Just keep that creative attitude as has been indicated. Do stick to your music. Do have exercises in the open often.

  14. We are through with this reading.
