This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of June, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1195], new Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [264].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. A Mrs. Ogden and a Mrs. Rohr (?), from N.Y., rec. by Mrs. Ludwig Stern.]

Time of Reading 11:40 to 12:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1195].

  2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the normal functioning of organs throughout the body. These as we find have to do with the eliminations and an obstruction that has caused and does cause a great deal of distress through the physical forces of the body; producing a lesion - and an engorgement, as will be seen in portions of the abdominal area itself.

  3. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1195] we are speaking of:

  4. In the blood supply there are the indications of the obstructions that have been existent for some times back in the activity of the excretory functionings of the liver itself, producing about the gall duct area, through the obstructions, an engorgement there; as well as in the intestinal system through a lesion formed there - or a lymph pocket that has filled. And hence there are those engorgements that are indicated from the manner in which the circulation has been and is activative in the system at the present.

  5. There are also those lesions in the nerve system, as produced by the detrimental influences from the activity of the centralizing of disturbances in the body as well as in the general mental attitude that has existed, does exist, as in relationships to individuals about the body. These with their worriment produce an aggravation to the MENTAL conditions of the body. These reactions produce swelling in the extremities at times, causing a temperature; inability for the assimilation of proper foods, and for the general activity through the heart’s action and the eliminations in the general manner.

  6. In the organs themselves of the body, while there are those forces that make for the detrimental influences through these accumulations, the organs themselves may not function the normal way or manner. The conditions have become so segregated that as we would find there will be sooner or later the necessity for operative measures. Yet there should be the proper precautions made for the building up of resistances, the creating of greater quantities of those plasms as necessary for the production of the humor in the blood supply as produces coagulation.

  7. In operative forces there should be used rather those that are in sympathy with the body in its present disturbing condition and those that are of the school or under the government supervision there may be the ones for the better activity for bringing to the body in the present the nearer normal forces for the body.

  8. Be mindful - in the preparation of same - of the diets, of the activities of the body. The removal of these will make for periods that will necessitate that the relationships about the body be the more gentle, that of ‘give and take’ as it were. Remember that the disturbing factors in the mental body arise as much from the antagonism within self as from those without. Not that there should be entirely the non-consideration of self but consider the other as well as self.

  9. Ready for questions.

  10. (Q) When would be the best time for this operation? (A) As soon as there has been the preparation for the body in the manners as indicated, that the blood stream, the activity of the heart, the general physical conditions of the body are such that proper coagulation would take place.

This may be produced within a few weeks, or if there is the determination in self that certain conditions must be fulfilled, then in a few months. But the sooner the preparations the greater and better will be the possibilities for the recuperative forces to be of such a nature that all the resistances will not be broken down.

  1. (Q) What is causing my eye trouble and what treatment should I have to arrest that condition? (A) This is a reflex condition from the general poisons in the system and with the removal of the causes of these we will find that, with rest, that will be necessitated by the operative measures, the whole general system will be aided.

Then be mindful there is sufficient stimulation for the corrections for the flow of the blood supply through the organs of the sensory system as well as the proper adjustments for the lenses for the eyes.

  1. (Q) What should I do regarding the problem that is making me so unhappy in my home? (A) As has been indicted, these conditions will of themselves make for some adjustments during those periods when the physical adjustments are being made. There should be the proper consideration given all conditions as concerning the activities of self as well as those of the husband. And when these have been fulfilled in their proper relationships, then let the other body take its own course. Do that that is right and just, and that in thine own conscience is not at variance to the spiritual influences in the life.

  2. We are through for the present.
