This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the David E. Kahn home, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y., this 24th day of November, 1937, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [1158], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading Public School, 12:50 to 12:55 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body; this we have had before. Not much change since we last had same, and applications of those suggestions indicated have not been sufficiently made or BEGUN in such manners as to make for the changes as would be indicated.

2. We would do those things that have been outlined for this body.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) Should [1206] have osteopathic treatments? after supper in her home, or is it preferable for her to go to the osteopath’s office? (A) Preferably in the home, if there are the facilities for having the same character of adjustments that may be had in the office. These periods of the daily treatments, as indicated, for a period of a week and then the rest and then again - for these special stimulations. They would not require LONG treatments, but specific - as indicated, see? or as has been given these would be seen to make changes that would be noticeable to the manipulator or the adjustor. But it is preferable, as it ever is, that there be rest periods afterwards; hence better in the home if it is plausible.

5. (Q) What can be done to cure [1206]‘s warts? (A) These may be treated by the use of the application of Nitrate; or preferably, as we find, the use of the Soda with the Castor Oil. Not made to be as dough, but as putty or soft putty - this put on, and we will find them disappearing.

6. (Q) Would it be well for her to have Swedish massage, as well as osteopathic treatments? (A) These as we find would not be necessary until after the periods of the osteopathic treatments, or would not be very good either until then - until the osteopathic treatments are given just occasionally; and then the massage only given once a week or farther apart, would be very helpful.

7. (Q) Would Agnes Norgren be desirable to give the massage? (A) Very desirable; very efficient. Of course, it will be found with this body as with others, that she has periods when she is not as good as at others; but a little encouraging word here or there, and she would be very good.

8. (Q) How long should these be taken? (A) For a period of three weeks, then rest for two or three weeks, and then again - and these for thirty to forty minutes, not an hour, for this developing body.

9. (Q) Any further advice for this body? (A) These we would keep, for as has been indicated, precautions should be taken with this body at this particular period.

R1. 12/24/37 Dr. Geo. J. Schoelles’ letter: “So far the only case I am not fully satisfied with is [1206]. She has 2 stubborn areas - 1 in region of 3-4-5 lumbar and the other in the 1-2 cervicals. Why the lumbars do not normalize fully is beyond me. Possibly she has some reflex from the colon and this ought to have a series of cleanings. At her last visit I found a great plug of ear wax and removed it. This could be a cause for the constant return of the cervical lesions. I will be interested to learn upon their return from … just what reaction she had.”

R2. 1/18/38 Dr. Schoelles’ letter: “[1206] came in to me upon her return from the west and I am happy to say that the lesions in her neck let go in a most satisfactory manner. The pain in the jaw had not been bothering her to any appreciable extent and if this area will remain corrected she ought to be free from all pain.”

R3. 3/9/38 Mother’s letter: “She was awake all last night with her aching tooth. And today I had to keep her out of school and feed her aspirin the pain was so severe. The dentists say there is no tooth trouble. Her last Reading said there was no tooth trouble. But it is evident we are not getting rid of the cause of her tooth ache which persists intermittently. We have followed out the instructions given in her 1st Reading [1206-4], regarding osteopathic treatments. Also, she has had massage. Also, the Radio-Active has been used, but not continuously. Possibly the Radio-Active has not been attached correctly, for she has used it for weeks at a time, but with no seeming success. Do you suppose you could give [1206] a Physical Reading on Sunday morning? I could have her lying down with the Radio-Active Attachment on, and we could inquire whether it was attached properly and whether it was working properly, if not to give needed information concerning same. Also, we could ask further information about the pain in the tooth, which [1206] claims is started by exercises, skating, bicycle riding, even walking upstairs. Please telegraph, concerning Sunday morning appointment, as to hour etc., if you can give it at that time. If Sat. afternoon would suit you better, we can plan it for Saturday afternoon instead of Sunday morning. I am very desirous of taking care of this situation this weekend, if possible, for pressure is being brought upon me to take her to a regular M.D. to locate and stop the trouble. So, I am hoping another Reading will accomplish this…”
