This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of August, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1223], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [1223] and husband, and friends.]

Time of Reading 3:45 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

  3. As we find, many changes have taken place in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same. Some have been for the betterment.

  4. In the present we find there are the inclinations or tendencies that need the more careful attention in the present.

  5. There are pressures indicated through the area of the pelvis, especially in the right side. These are forming the basis for a disturbance in the general nervous system, that makes for anxieties through many of the activities of the system that upset the body at times.

  6. This is also weakening, as it is depleting the red blood supply. Thus the vitality is being taken from the system.

  7. Also we find that it weakens the digestive system; and there are the inclinations for the lack of proper assimilation in the upper portion of the stomach itself, - so that even the mastication or the activity of the salivary glands does not supply the proper division in the lactics and the acids as they react upon the body.

  8. These as we find, then, would be rather as preventative and corrective forces, as to aid in creating or bringing a balance to the better physical forces of the body:

  9. First, we would have at least three to six of the GENERAL adjustments, osteopathically given; with special reference to the lumbar axis, 9th dorsal, 3rd and 4th dorsal, and then coordinating the cervicals with the rest of the system.

  10. It should not be necessary for more than six of the adjustments.

  11. Also we would begin with the Codiron as a tonic for the body. For this body we would begin with one tablet of a morning and one of an evening, taken at the time of the meals. This will add the vitamins necessary for the body-building that is aided in the correction and elimination of the disturbance by the activity of the corrective forces as should be made.

  12. This - the Codiron - we would keep up for two weeks at a time, leave off for one week, and then again; keeping up this for at least three or four months.

  13. Then, as to the diet, - here we find that the activities of these principles with the system will make for better ability for the assimilation of foods.

  14. Vegetable forces of every nature are well.

  15. Meats, - not too much; only fish, fowl or lamb.

  16. No fried foods would be good for the body.

  17. Do these and we will bring the better forces and influences for this body, [1223].

  18. Ready for questions.

  19. (Q) How may I develop my bust? (A) The natural development as comes from those activities through the better body building will be of helpful force.

But if there is the desire for a greater development, we would massage the mammary glands, - not about same, but under the arm and down the side, you see - with Cocoa Butter, about three times each week; then about the glands themselves about once a week.

  1. (Q) What osteopath would you advise? (A) Anyone in sympathy with the information, and that will follow the directions as have been indicated.

  2. (Q) Dr. Hudgins? (A) Dr. Hudgins would be well.

  3. We are through with this Reading.
