This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of July, 1937, in accordance with request made by the wife - Mrs. [1294], through telephone request by her husband”s cousin, Mrs. [903], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Lenox Hill Hosp., Time of Reading 77th St., Room …, 3:30 to 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes - we have the body, [1291].
-
Would that what was first indicated had been applied, in making for that change of vibration (through the use of the Radio-Active Appliance as suggested); for we would not have had this concurrence with those disturbing forces.
-
There is little change to be made. These as we find had best be kept as has been indicated.
-
In the reactions, if there are those periods passing through two o’clock in the morning, there should be an opportunity for some help and hope - or after six, or to two in the morning.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Has pneumonia set in? (A) Not as yet, though it’s very close. The clogging is rather the gurgitation than pneumonia as yet.
-
(Q) Are there any other stimulants that can be given? (A) Not with impunity. That which will work the better with the digestive forces is a combination of these.
Limewater…1/2 ounce, Cinnamon Water…1/2 ounce, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium…30 minims, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium…5 minims.
A teaspoonful - not gulped but sipped - as close together as an hour would stimulate the gastric flow and be easier in making for the circulation through that portion.
-
(Q) Can anything be done to save this body? (A) This depends upon the reaction. This should have been done months ago!
-
We are through with this Reading.
Copy to Mrs. [903] - Wired also ” ” Ass’n file
DAY LETTER: No change advised. Pneumonia close but clogging from gurgitation. No other stimulant with impunity but this combination would stimulate gastric flow and ease circulation. Limewater half ounce. Cinnamon water half ounce. Ten percent Bromide Potassium thirty minims. Ten percent Iodide of Potassium five minims. Dosage teaspoonful sipped every hour. If lasting through two o’clock may be hope.

B2. Phone call about 2:00 P.M, July 8, 1937, from Mrs. [903]:
I’m calling about [1291] - he and [1294] arrived here by boat a couple of days ago - had heart attack, nothing on his stomach for five days. Near death the night before last - Dr. […] (?) the famous heart doctor he came to see last fall was out of town, but his associate Dr. […] (?) has taken charge - they don’t think he will live - they’ve given him everything they know. [257] is in Chicago, and I personally don’t feel there is much use, but [1294] asked me to phone - she wants to feel that everything possible is being done. Please ask these questions, and wire me back in care of [1294] - she has a room at the hospital too, to be near [1291]. Of course, we don’t know what the next two hours may bring, or whether he can last - but wire me collect.
