This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of February, 1937, in accordance with phone request made by Miss [681], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., sponsoring new Active Membership for Miss Sarah Townshend.

Room 934, Univ. Time of Reading Hosp., Lombard & 11:20 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Greene Sts., Baltimore, Md. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes.

2. As we find, conditions are very serious.

3. While there is the disturbance in keeping the circulation and the coagulation in same going, to interfere in the present would as we find rather jeopardize conditions.

4. The necessity for meeting the condition producing the immediate disturbances, then, is to keep the heart’s activities going and to keep coagulation from forming in such matters as to hinder the flow through the whole of the eliminating and assimilating system.

5. And to interfere with that being accomplished would not be well.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) What is the nature of the disease? Is this understood? (A) In the immediate it is that as has been indicated. As to the causes, these have little to do with the conditions we are to meet right now.

8. (Q) Any advice regarding same? (A) As has been indicated. Keep the heart action going but do not hinder the circulation from proper distribution by the character of administrations. We are through for the present.

R1. 2/19/37 Mrs. [808]‘s letter: “I saw [681] last Mon. and I was interested in hearing what diagnosis you had given that boy [1340] in Baltimore. She said she didn’t read the reading but knew that you sent a telegram stating that the treatments shouldn’t be changed. However, she said a peculiar thing happened during the reading. The boy didn’t know he was getting the reading but this woman went over there to be present at the time with his father. Between 10:30 and 11:30 or whenever the reading was supposed to be given the boy requested to see the Bible and that was the only time he asked for the Bible since he has been in the hospital. The father and this woman looked at each other and thought how unusual that was for him to think of it at that particular time. I do hope you can save the boy. The woman that requested the reading from you called me Saturday asking all about you and you can bet that I gave her an ear-full. I talked to her for a long time.”

R2. 3/5/37 Miss [681]‘s ltr.: “Miss Townshend was so distressed about the condition of that boy [1340] and I told her not to give up hope until she had a reading, that doubtless some help could be secured fr. the information, etc. Evidently the help could not come for him in this incarnation - he passed on last week. The brief reading which came through only strengthened my confidence in you but I am sorry that it had to be that way.”
