This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of October, 1925, in accordance with request made through his brother, Mr. [900].

Time of Reading 24 West 69th Street, 2:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [137] of …, New York City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lessons to be gained from these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [137]. This we have had here before. The dreams as we see which come to the body are of the subconscious through the psychic forces as may be manifested in the individual, giving to the mental those lessons that may be used by the entity as the manifestations of the phenomenized force as may manifest through self or through others. Ready for dream.

3. (Q) Monday, October 12, 1925, at home. “It seemed I was back in our Old 101st Street house where we all lived together, Mother, Dad, [900] and myself. Then I entered what seemed to be [900]‘s apartment of today, which seemed right across the hall, I entered one room and turned on the light and that was alright. Then I entered the room where [900] and [136]‘s wedding presents were and tried to turn on the light there. It would not go on, at which I grew frightened and suspicious. Scared, I ran out into the hall and it seemed the elevator man was carrying me away on his back. As I went along I turned out the hall light. It seemed I wanted to go back to investigate that room, but the elevator man called to me warningly: ‘Don’t go in there - Desperate so and so (giving name of gun man bandit) is in there.’ I hesitated. ‘Run - run fast!’ shouted the elevator man desperately. Then, panicky, I started to race downstairs, the gun man firing at me with his revolver.” (A) This, as we find, is of the super-conscious forces, presenting to entity those conditions in an emblematical form that may be the warning for the entity.

As is seen in the old home and in those conditions in which all are surrounded by the home ties, there comes through those conditions which relate to some intrinsic valuation of something regarding or between [900] and the families, see? and this, as we see, brings troubles to the ones that are interested, see? Then, being forewarned, be forearmed. That is, there is something regarding the two rooms, the apartment in which the brother lives, that might bring an estrangement between the various members of the family, see? Do not let such occur, for the warning has come as before, that this entity may act in that capacity of the peacemaker. The warning has come to each to be careful regarding these conditions, see?

The gun man representing, then: Should the entity become terror stricken or allow self to be drawn into the brawl by such as the conditions arising, then there would come that consternation as would bring fear, trembling, to the entity, see? When will this occur? We don’t see it. Watch for it, for there will be something that will happen, see?

4. (Q) What are the valuables that it will be about? (A) Something regarding something in the rooms, see? as seen. Conduct of individuals toward each other, see?

5. (Q) Tuesday, October 13, 1925, at home. “Just as I was awakening I felt myself in same poor physical condition as last winter. I was in one of my fainting spells and Emma, our baby’s nurse, seemed to be trying to revive me. Then I really did awaken.” (A) The warning to the entity to carry out fully those suggestions as have been given for the entity, taking that for the system that will bring the equalizing condition throughout the system, for it is as is seen, lack of the metabolism in system, that causes the distresses to the body. Be warned and act!
