This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of November, 1925, in accordance with request made through his brother, Mr. [900].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York, N.Y.

  1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [137] of New York City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lessons to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, with the enquiring mind of same. This we have had before. Ready for dreams.

  3. (Q) Saturday night, November 14, or morning of Sunday, November 15, 1925. “I leaned over the table and talking to Al Rosner said: ‘I sold 200 shares of Pacific Gas to-day at 136 and 136 1/4 and that was 100 shares more than I own or am long, making me short 100 shares of the stock. I am sorry that I am short the stock, for it surely acts as though it were going up. Baer Sterns bought my 200 shares that I sold to them at 136 - 136 1/4.’” (A) This, as we see, indicates the correlations with the conditions existent in regard to the prices quoted in the Stock Exchange, and the entity’s subconscious forces take in those transactions carried on in the actual manner. This, as we see, shows the indications of the stock as given - Pacific Gas & Electric - selling off below the nominal price, see, and after the flurries as come and go, the gradual rise to a greater price - 156 we see, see?

  4. (Q) Does this mean it is better to stay long of my Pacific Gas Stock even if it goes up to 136 - 136 1/4? (A) Stay long, for the 136 will make the still advance. The 130 and 132 are the prices where the more changes are coming, see?

  5. (Q) Night of November 15, or early morning of November 16, Sunday night or Monday morning. “T C N (Transcontinental Oil) sold from 5 to 4 1/2.” (A) This again those conditions as are viewed, the general descent of the market in many of the commodities. In this we will find the sale be the price as is best to handle in, see?

  6. (Q) Does this mean that it would be well to wait until T C N stock sells at 5, then sell it short at that price? (A) Sell it short at that price.

  7. (Q) Monday night, November 16, or early Tuesday morning, November 17. “Saw Elliott Schatzkin, who came home from Saranac, apparently recovered from his tubercular illness. He was smoking a cigar and that worried all of us. Ma said something about the danger of his smoking to him, but I told Ma not to say anything at all, for if he was allowed to smoke the doctor must know as to whether it was harmful or not.” (A) Again we find the conditions existent in the subconscious forces wherein the entity, [137] shown, through the emblematical conditions, that which would be well for entity to gain the lesson of. As is seen in these conditions, and as is found, the conditions present as this to entity: Do not allow the smoking to become where entity depends upon the stimulation from same, whether of nerve or of action of the physical force of body by habit, see? For as conditions exist in system, and as has been given that some counter-irritation through smoking is well for the body, and the stimulation from nicotine as the poison in the system is well with the body in MODERATION, but NOT in EXCESS. There should never be more than twelve to fifteen, or eighteen smokes in one day. Cigarettes alright, see?

  8. We are through with this reading.
