This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of March, 1929, in accordance with request made by self, Miss [1377].

1. EC: Yes, we find the body here - in prayer.

2. In giving the physical conditions then as respecting this body, they may be treated in an entirely different manner from that as may be given concerning many an individual. Few there be that bear their burdens with such compassion, knowing that in the fullness of time the Great Healer may so make HIMSELF conscious in the vitals even of the physical organs as to remove, as to take the place of those conditions as have and do trouble and torment the body physical. Be of good cheer, for I will stand in the stead of him who puts his trust in me, hath said the Lord, and He is able, and willing, and anxious to do that for those who LOVE the coming of the consciousness of self’s being emerged, ruled, controlled, by His Spirit. Keep that thou hast kept in thine heart, and make this MANIFEST in the life. In the actions of the body, mental and physical, will come the consciousness of this indwelling sufficient to take away those conditions that have been as those crosses that all must bear in some form, that they too may know that God is in His holy temple and is approached through His Son, who gave to man the DIVINE access to that throne room, in that He - as man - suffered in the body, and in the self being lost in service gave HIMSELF in that manner the ransom for those that would come, in meekness of heart, knowing that that asked for in His name is done already, even as the heart of self is in accord with that asked FOR for self IN others. Unto others, then, in the action comes the consciousness of THAT as is gained through belief in His name. Keep constant, then, in prayer, in supplication, and in believing, and acting as if that sought is done already. Physical conditions often exist in the body wherein there is given to many those of offices to perform to and for others, that they may understand that not only he that believes, but he that would perform a service for ANOTHER must ALSO believe. Keep, then, the body cleansed in thought, in deed, in the diet, in the eliminations - as is ever made manifest in this material, mental, this physical world - and so conduct the thoughts towards others as to radiate that as is being received, and the conditions will become as naught. We are through.

R3. 3/24/29 Application for admission to Cayce Hospital stated she was entering to be treated for nervous indigestion, a result of injury from auto accident in March 1926, previous treatment for which had been osteopathy and diet. [However Question 1 [Par. 5-Q] in her in her second Physical Rdg. was: “What will reduce the growth in abdomen?”

B1. 11/17/28 Dr. Charles Francis Taylor’s (consulting Psychologist) letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Am enclosing check for $25.00 from a case of mine which I wish you would diagnose and show both the cause and cure. If I described the case that might not be desired. I do not know just what is required. Am enclosing one of her envelopes - if you need more information better wire me what. She has come from the point of death to comparative safety but the condition tends to reoccur, so the cause must still be active. I would not have taken the case except that she is a personal friend and insisted.

Do let me know the plan under which you operate the hospital and the terms, etc. Hope all goes well with you.

B2. 12/27/28 Dr. Charles F. Taylor’s letter to EC: ”…Sorry to hear of your illness…

“I returned the check to Miss [1377] who has recovered in all but one phase and greatly improved in that one. She is about to leave for three months in Fla. If there is any reoccurrence of her trouble on her return, she will doubtless apply to you again…”

B3. 2/4/29 Miss [1377]‘s letter: “Sometime since Mr. Chas. F. Taylor of Brooklyn, N.Y., forwarded to you a check for diagnosis of my case but you were too ill to make it and the check was returned. How are you now - are you able to attend to it now? I have been brought South by friends who do not understand my condition. Nor do I want them to as they would fuss me to death over it and insist on my being cut open, and the mental strain would be very detrimental - so my time is more or less tied. I am wondering if you are able, if a Sun. a.m. or afternoon would be a possible time for you if I should notify you in advance. It seems to be my best time without interruption.”

B4. 2/21/29 Letter verifying appointment: “I have been greatly interested in the literature mailed me, and it is a great joy to me to find someone to take the place of the late Dr. Pomeroy of N.Y. who diagnosed in the same way you do for 50 yrs. or more and saved me much suffering and operations. So you can see that I am strong in the belief that the 6th sense which you have is a God-given power. Mr. Taylor, who has been attending me too, has most wonderful ability and has saved me much suffering and operations, but has urged me to have your diagnosis for our mutual enlightenment… Why is it that my urine remains alkaline until evening and then becomes acid, and I am obliged to use Squibb’s soda? Is it because of what I eat or because I am tired? What food will my stomach digest and that will make me some good blood? Am I eating the wrong thing? Am I going to recover my usual good health or am I permanently undone? Will tumor entirely disappear? Without the knife?”
