This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of April, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1409], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1409]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, as has been indicated, - the pains and pressures that are brought to bear on the muscular and nerve forces through the body are the effects of poisons by poor eliminations.

4. Hence the eliminations must be increased. We would set up the eliminations by alternating between the mineral and vegetable eliminants. This will not be so depressing or disturbing, but must be kept up, though it apparently takes the strength of the body. But rest sufficiently so as to ELIMINATE the poisons, if the body would be free of those neuritic expressions in the nerve system.

5. Either Rochelle Salts or Eno Salts or Sal Hepatica would be used as the mineral laxative, whichever the body chooses; not all of them, but either one of them. Alternate daily with the Senna Tea; that is, take the Salts one day and the Senna Tea the next day. Take the salts one morning before breakfast, and take the Tea the next night before retiring. Put six to eight to ten Senna Pods or Leaves in a cup and pour boiling water over same, allowing it to set for three to four hours. Strain off, let it cool until palatable, and take it every other day - and the Salts on the other days.

6. But keep quiet, keep off of the feet.

7. If this becomes too severe, use the Tartaric Packs across the abdomen, and use enemas to eliminate the poisons from the colon. We would NOT use the Castor Oil Packs, - use only the eliminants as suggested, altered, and if these gripe the body too much, then use the Tartaric Packs. Don’t use too much of the Tartaric Acid, though, for this may become too much of a strain on the alimentary canal.

8. Use the enemas, daily if necessary.

9. But keep quiet; that is, don’t try to run around! Don’t try to get up and sweep up and clean up! Remain quiet - until the strength returns!

10. In foods, - take only the most strengthening. If citrus fruit juices disagree, then take the beef juice and liquids the more.

11. And we will find we will make better forces for the body.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) Is coffee harmful? (A) Coffee should be a stimulant. Do not put cream or milk in same, and only a little sugar.
