This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 28th day of March, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Dr. [1447].

1. LS: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief for this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Its next door, you see. We have had this before.

3. Now, we find the body not so good in its physical attributes at present as when we had this before, for we find with some of the conditions as have been given, especially as that in the weakness in the lumbar region, has become accentuated through inflammation as created by a strain in the physical portions, and with the unequalized condition in the elimination the kidneys have become involved, producing inflammation, especially in the prostate glands. This, as we see, is some better at the present time than it has been, yet the distress as is caused to this portion of the body needs correction, and that producing the inflammation relieved, that the system may function normally and nominally.

4. Then, to give the correct vibration to the body for this correction, we would take into the system these properties, leaving off some of the other that have been taken:

5. In the early morning, before meals are taken, use level teaspoonful plain phosphate of soda in three-fourths glass of warm water, adding to this six drops Syrup of Sarsaparilla, with one drop Sweet Spirits of Nitre. This should be taken for at least three successive mornings.

6. In the evenings, apply saturated solution of Bicarbonate of Soda across the sacral region and in the groin region, on either side of the gland, and apply after the saturated solution of Bicarbonate of Soda has been massaged well into the body, hot packs of heavy sea salt. This, with the properties as taken, will reduce the inflammation and cause the correct incentives in the emunctories in the kidneys.

7. As to the rest of the system, we find this a great deal better than has been in the recent past. That producing this condition has been corrected in part in the adjustments as have been given in the lumbar and sacral region. The sediments as left in the kidneys have not been relieved. Hence the taking of the properties in the system to produce the correct incentive throughout the mesenteric system, and the action through the whole intestinal tract gives the correct incentive or the inflammation produced to be relieved. Taking, after these have been corrected through these properties, those vibrations from the violet ray to strengthen the nerve center and tissue across the lower dorsal, whole lumbar and sacral region.

8. Do this, and we will find we will bring the normal conditions to this body, Dr. [1447].

9. (Q) For what period of time should the evening treatments be continued? (A) Until the inflammation and soreness as is experienced are relieved from the system. Let the body rest as much as is possible, yet this will soon bring nominal conditions to the body and not necessary that body discontinue its regular routine.

10. (Q) Is the diet of the body being kept as it should be? (A) Very good at present. You see the first cause to produce this condition was produced from diet. The body is a very good dietician and watches after this very good. No correction to be made at present.

11. We are through for the present.

Reading agrees almost identical with conditions as exist. Have recently had a little indigestion which was not mentioned. However that is better now after a short period of diet.

Dear Mr. Cayce;

I was very much pleased to hear from you again and also sorry to hear things were not going so well at the Hospital, however I am a firm believer in the saying “that everything works out for the best” and that the way things have turned out is only a blessing in disguise and will serve to make it possible for you to do even greater and better work.

I would like very much to be present at the meeting on Saturday but being such short notice it will be impossible to be there. However as I have said before, if I can be of any service to you and your organization, I will be only too glad to help in whatever capacity you see fit.

As for a name: You being the guiding hand, I can think of no better name than The Cayce Hospital. I do not think it necessary to use a long explanatory name as the World will know what it is by the wonderful work you do.

Will be pleased to hear from you at your convenience and have a report of the action taken at the Saturday meeting.

R6. 7/9/31 EC’s letter to [1447]:

Dear Dr. [1447]:

Your letter of sometime ago was received. We have been going through the ordeal of making a move in the last two weeks, which has caused us to neglect our correspondence considerably.

The organization is going ahead with the work, and I believe is to have an official meeting this week-end. You no doubt will be notified concerning same, as I would like for you to act as one of the Official Representatives. No doubt the Manager or Secretary will give you in detail the duties of such an one, and you will know that it is in keeping with my personal wishes that you act in that capacity, if you can see your way to do so.

Now, respecting the lost article - Doctor, we have SO MUCH that seems to ME to be so much more worth while than looking after such material things, it seems hardly advisable to take up such. I realize how very necessary it seems in such circumstances, but I don’t think that we could possibly do this at this time. So, I’ll have to beg to be excused.

I hope you appreciate my position, and khow that it isn’t anything personal. I would be glad to do it if I felt like it wasn’t even harmful to the good of the work itself.
