This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of November, 1929, in accordance with request made by his mother, Mrs. […] via Mrs. [413].

1. EC: We have the body, [1461], here. Now, we find the abnormal conditions as have to do with the physical forces of the body. Now, we find there IS aid, help, for the correction of this condition. While this condition is - in the physical sense - the pressure causing non-coordination or cooperation of the nerve systems, this pressure may BE relieved by the producing of that vibration in the physical functioning of the system as to produce drainage, absorption, and relief of those pressures as cause these disturbances. While this may require a little time, yet this will give to the body the better facility for functioning through this present experience. These conditions and vibrations must be changed through the functioning of the glands and the vibratory system, and these - in the beginning - will be through that of the low form of electric vibration as will be set up in the Radio-Active Appliance carrying the Gold in same to the central nervous system, applying same to the frontal portion in the negative anode, or to the umbilicus, and the positive to the 1st cervical or 1st and 2nd cervical center.

2. In the distribution also of the energies in system, well were the body GENTLY massaged - especially along the whole of the cerebrospinal system - after the bath; and massage well into the centers along the cerebro-spinal those of equal parts olive oil and tincture of myrrh. These will aid in bringing stability to the nerve plexus and the functioning of the muscular forces, as the vibrations are changed.

3. Do this for sixty days. Then we would give the changes as necessary for this body, [1461].

5. (Q) For how long a period should the battery be used at a time? (A) For thirty minutes, twice each day.

6. (Q) Did the medicine given the mother in bringing the baby cause the trouble? (A) That, with the use of the instruments in delivering same.

7. (Q) Where is this pressure? (A) On the brain. That channel between the medulla oblongata and the central brain center. This is why the pressure prevents coordination in both the sensory and the sympathetic system.

Do as we have given. We are through for the present.

R1. 1/18/30 Letter from [1461]‘s mother: “Owing to the baby having the whooping cough I will not be able to come to see you by the 20th of this month… How long will it be before he sits alone? to walk? and talk? His mental condition is considerably better. If he keeps improving in the next week as he has in the last week, I could bring him over to see you in a few weeks if you had rather see him before you give him the rdg. I believe if he had not had the whooping cough he would have been sitting alone, as he was improving very much before the sickness. I have given him the Radio-Active treatments, but I missed a few massages, as he was so very sick. We notice several other improvements.”
