This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce in Selma, Alabama, this 10th day of September, 1923, in accordance with request made by the self Mrs. [147].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. The conditions in this body at the present time we find are somewhat improved even from when last we had them.

2. Vibrations, just as has been outlined, will give sufficient vibration when given as was last outlined, that will give assistance to the action of the sensory system in giving the correct vibration to the brain forces.

3. The change in the position of the electrodes is brought about by the change produced in the system by incorrect use of vibration. Do as we have given, if we would give the best for this body, Mrs. [147] we are speaking of.

4. The vibration from battery forces, as was given and charged as was outlined, and as has been done in two instances and at present vibration when the poles are operated properly, connecting the plates as given, second cervical and cross here the umbilicus upper and right side of the umbilicus. Do that. We are through.

R1. 9/10/23 EC wrote: “From now on I don’t think you will have any trouble in getting these checked up promptly, as I have established an office here, and my secretary is always on hand, so, should there be a time that you wish to have any information right away, you know I am always more than glad to try for you, for I am sure this will bring you results, if you will follow it out closely.”

R2. 9/11/23 She wrote: “Your Reading with the letter just received.

“I feel so encouraged as it is the first time it has ever been correct. After the almost disastrous results of the last trial I felt almost afraid to go on with this until I had your opinion. Now I feel so safe about it.

“In applying the plates to the body I place the poles in the solution. The pole with the brass plate attached, to the left of the vessel, and cross it [the wire] to the right side of the body and place it [plate] above and to the right of the umbilicus. The wire with the silver plate attached is applied to the second cervical. (I sit facing the solution in bowl).

“I do not know how long it should be until we have some results but will write you if there is any change or in a short time if there isn’t. I can’t tell you how relieved I am to know you are there and ready and willing to help.

“Thanking you and trusting all is well with you, I am”

R3. 9/12/23 She wrote: “This is to tell you the prescription is filled and I am again using it. When we had the Reading, Dr. Farrand told me he would get it ready and then write you, but instead of that he wrote you and then had it filled and charged. [After receiving your letter] He THINKS he has it correct this time, and I only hope he has, but with the experience we have had, and especially the last time, I am not very confident. (That it has been done according to your instructions.)

“I use the silver plate on the 1st cervical and have a time trying to get my hair from under it - with very poor success. Dr. Farrand seems to think it makes no difference if plate is on hair.

“Mr. Cayce, you will not leave Selma without letting me know where I can reach you, will you? In my case I know what is done must be done quickly or there will be no use in taking it up at some later date. That is why I have made myself such a nuisance to you.

“I know you are a busy man but I should like to hear from you when you have leisure. Thanking you and wishing you success and happiness, I am”
