This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of July, 1939, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [1498], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes.

3. Now as we find, there has been such a material helpfulness to this general condition, that there seems to be little other than that there should be the continuation - as necessity demands - of those applications necessary to eliminate these poisons; this unbalancing of the chemical reaction, and the glandular system.

4. Especially would the Wet Cell Appliance with the Gold be continued. And through this special period we would alternate same with Witchhazel, used in the same manner as the Gold; one used one day, the other the next, - but not in the same container, to be sure. Have a separate container prepared; and this (the Witchhazel) would be given to the body with the plates attached: the small copper plate at the 1st and 2nd cervical, the small nickel plate (through which the Witchhazel vibrations would pass) at the 4th lumbar. This would be given on opposite days from the Gold. Both of these connections or plates would be the same size, you see, but one copper, the other nickel.

5. The rest we would keep in the manner as has been indicated for the body.

7. (Q) Have the pressures in the 6th and 7th dorsal been entirely removed? (A) The pressures have been entirely removed, but - owing to the position, with a great deal of activity there is the tendency to be a return to that posture, making some pressures.

Hence, this would necessitate the osteopathic corrections being made again, - when there are those indications of the languidness, or the flushing of the white spots on portions of the body.

8. (Q) Is there still a pressure in the coccyx? (A) Some pressure still there.

9. (Q) Should Pluto Water be given her at such times when she has bilious attacks? (A) Pluto Water is not so good as Honeyida Water for this body.

10. (Q) Should she take any kind of cod liver oil during the summer? (A) Codiron is better than the cod tablets or the iron and vitamin tablets. Take one to two tablets each day, - whether these be taken at one time or both at the one meal, whichever is desired.

11. (Q) Should she have Atomidine? (A) Not while close to the sunshine, or so much of the sunshine. This will come a little bit later.

12. (Q) The osteopathic treatments should be continued? (A) As indicated.

13. (Q) May she have cow’s milk? (A) If it is sterilized, yes.

14. (Q) Chocolate? (A) Yes, she can have it if she desires, but this should be rather not the regular chocolate - sweet chocolate, but that prepared without too much of cane sugar.

15. (Q) Corn? (A) NO.

16. (Q) Will the hair regain its natural color? (A) As it begins to change, yes.

17. (Q) Can you specify the length of time it will take before the spots disappear entirely? (A) How long before tomorrow? How long before or since yesterday? These are a matter of the mental concept. If it is the desire, then work towards it! But is the desire for the outlook or for the actual conditions? Is it of a spiritual or purely material nature? Study this that you are asking, and know that the sources consider no time!

18. (Q) How can we help her to gain weight? (A) Keeping in those ways as have been indicated here, as well as heretofore.

19. (Q) Have the disturbing forces been removed, as the reading last indicated they would be by early spring (last) if instructions were followed? (A) As has been indicated, they have in a manner, - and yet there should still be those precautions that would prevent the return. This is an insidious condition that arises from the GLANDULAR force when considered from a purely pathological nature. And thus it should be warded against, as well as prayed about.

Live consistently, and be VERY persistent.

R1. 7/25/39 Father [1497]‘s letter ordered again new materials for the Wet Cell Appliance: “Can you explain how to locate the various cervical and dorsal vertebra for the application of the electrodes, and also, I believe this check reading calls for different electrodes from that which we already have… We are anxious to resume [1490]‘s treatments. She is already improving but this will accelerate it, I am sure.”

B2. 7/15/39 Mother [1498]‘s questions submitted with letter:

“[1490] shows a great improvement. Her back is a nice even tan with the exception of a few white spots on the back of her neck. Her chest and stomach are still spotted as well as her arms, face and legs.

“She doesn’t seem to be so nervous and stutters only when she gets excited. At other times she speaks clearly and distinctly.

“I would like these questions answered: Have the pressures in the 6th and 7th dorsals been entirely removed? Is there still a pressure in the coccyx? Her digestive system seems to be functioning better but she still has bilious attacks. At such a time should I give her Pluto water? Should she take any kind of cod liver oil during the summer? Should she have Atomidine? Should we continue with osteopathic treatments? The battery Wet Cell]? May she have cow’s milk? Chocolate? Corn? Her hair is still quite gray. Will it regain its color? Can you specify the length of time it will take before the spots disappear entirely? She is very much underweight? Could we help her gain?

“In [1490]‘s last reading [1490-3] it was said that if we followed instructions the disturbing forces would be entirely eliminated by early Spring. We have followed instructions and I wonder if the disturbing forces have been removed.”
