This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of January, 1927, in accordance with request made by her husband, Mr. […].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body. This we have had here before, you see.

2. Now, we find there are changes in the physical forces of the body from that as we have had here before. In the general way and manner we find the body on the improve. The gradual corrections in the cerebro-spinal nerves show that, with the proper incentives radiating from these centers, the general physical condition is being assisted - for with these corrections there will come the correct activity from those portions of the body as are hindered by these subluxations. The condition that proves the most exaggerated is that in the cervical and the upper dorsal, especially the cervical - for, with the poisons we have been assimilated in system and not eliminated through their proper channels, with subluxations, these form lesions of the nature that are hard to combat, or to correct and make STAY corrected - the lesion being lateral. In that of the upper DORSAL lesions, these subligations are from injury or strain as was produced. This shows nearer that of the circular nature, and is as of cartilaginous forces. Hence the necessity of the application of vibratory forces in the ultra Violet Ray to assist in the reduction, by the act of the body becoming more THOROUGHLY relaxed, see? Well, too, were packs of water, or wet packs applied - hot water - VERY hot water - applied to these portions of the spine as the corrections are ready to be made - that is, make these first (the application), then make the corrections, see?

3. As is seen in that of the cervical and dorsal, both act toward that condition of the depression, or the pressure causing depression to the brain center - which produces much of the headache and the restlessness of the body.

4. Be well were the conditions in the throat and the tonsils removed, WHEN the blood supply and the general system is in that condition where they may be removed without the body being unable to meet the shock of such to the nerve system. Be well were these removed by osteopathic finger surgery, rather than by that of purely the operative, see?

5. We would keep up, then, the manipulations, and the reducing of those conditions that exist along the cerebro-spinal system, with the addition of sufficient of the manipulation over the general system, that the coordinating forces throughout the eliminating and assimilating system may coordinate properly.

6. With these conditions being gradually removed, with these corrections, we will find the general physical forces of the body returning nearer to the normal, see? applying the vibratory forces to cleanse the blood, which will make up faster when this may be done. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) What progress do you find the body has made? (A) A great deal! The conditions are being gradually reduced, and the general condition of the body improved, see? gradually building up more resistance.

8. (Q) In the doctor’s mind in treating cervical region headache is produced lasting a variable time. Give cause of this? (A) That as given. Poisons assimilated in the system. As these radiate from these centers, it produces an un-uniform blood flow to brain. Hence the condition in the headaches, see? We will find also that, as these conditions in the cervical and upper dorsal, in the region of the hypogastric and pneumogastric ganglions also need stimulation - in the 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal, see? that the reaction through nerve supply and blood stream, as is alleviated through these plexus, may be more perfectly coordinating throughout the system.

R1. 2/6/27 Husband wrote: “Your last rdg. arrived during my absence but is now in the hands of our osteopath (Dr. Wills) who is cooperating in every way to carry out your suggestions. Mrs. [152] has had a setback and has failed again in strength and courage, being very depressed, but we hope this is only temporary and as soon as she is strong enough to be taken to a hospital where the violet rays can be administered, we will proceed with that treatment. Enclosed find my ck. in appreciation of your prompt help.”

R2. 3/12/27 Radium Appliance Co., via Mr. John R. Dutcher, wrote:

“Mrs. [152] of …, Mich. has just ordered a Standard Radio-Active Pad. She states her condition is ‘nervous and generally run down.’”

B2. 1/17/27 She wrote: “Have had nine osteopathic treatments but am still not strong enough to take the ray treatments, as they can not be brought to the house - but I am gaining some strength; can not be up all day, however. The osteopath [Dr. Wills] found conditions as indicated in the rdg. As you can detect [from my handwriting], I am still very ‘shaky.’”

B3. 1/24/27 Husband requested a ck. rdg. for her, saying:

“I have just been in touch with Dr. Wills and he wanted the following questions answered: In detail what is the type of lesion in the left upper dorsal region? Also type on the right side of cervical region? If possible give causation of lesions in left upper dorsal region. In the doctor’s mind, in treating cervical region headache is produced, lasting a variable time. Give cause of this. What progress do you find?

“Dr. Wills says she has made a slow, steady progress. Now I want TO ASK A QUESTION. One physician, an internist and a surgeon, told Mrs. [152] that absorption of poison came from teeth, which have since been extracted, and from her tonsils which have not been removed. Are her tonsils a menace to her health?”
