This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of February, 1938, in accordance with request made by the friend - Miss [319], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Jas. F. Hill Hosp., Time of Reading 305 Church Street, 3:40 to 3:50 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Montgomery, Alabama. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1525].

2. As we find, there are rather serious disturbances.

3. In making the operative forces, and in those connections in the bringing of tissue together, these were not as well done as should have been.

4. Hence we find rather than same giving relief (though it did in some directions), the hindrances in there being the perfect coagulations - or the forming of same for healing internally - and the hindrances in there being the perfect flow, because of the imperfect reflexes from same - are working the hardships upon the body in the present; and it is losing its resistance, its strength.

5. While it would not be able to withstand further operations in the present (unless this becomes absolutely necessary), as we find the greater help in this would be to use the high electrical vibration of the deep therapy as with the Infra Red - or the deep sunlight.

6. But in either case, in the use of these deep therapies, use a blue glass between the body and the source of the light or the light itself. This would make for such an effect upon the tissue as to retard the tendencies for infectious reaction, because of the lack of coagulation and the removal by the flow of impulse of disintegrations from the energies of the body-exercise; and would also tend to make for healing forces.

7. These as we find, combined with the other precautions being taken, offer in this particular disturbance the greater opportunities for effectual strength being brought to the body.

8. The high electrical vibrations would be applied in the way as being used, then, except the higher vibrations either - the Sun Lights OR the Infra Red. But use the blue light or glass (plate glass - blue) BETWEEN the body and the light, or a few inches from the body. This would make for more effective conditions.

9. Ready for questions.

10. As to the nature - these as we find - while the very conditions that cause the formations, or the plethora in the portions of infected parts of the tissue, have aided; the lack of the coordination - or the short circuiting BETWEEN the impulse to and from, is the disturbance in the present.

R1. 2/14/38 Miss [319]‘s ltr. to EC: “I received the rdg. and thank you very much for your promptness and kindness in the matter. I would have written you sooner, but was waiting to decide whether or not I should tell them about the reading.

“Shortly after writing you I was told confidentially what the trouble is. The doctors have known all along and had told her mother sometime ago. They consider it only a question of time. Under the circumstances, I finally decided it would be best to say nothing about the rdg. She is kept under the influence of drugs all the time to deaden the pain. Her family have all come.

“I judge from the rdg. that you understood the condition and thought there was little that could be done about it.

“We, all of her friends and acquaintances, and they are numerous feel very sorryful over the situation, but there comes a time when these things have to be faced…”

B1. 1/29/38 Miss [319]‘s ltr. to EC: “I have a friend here who is desperately ill and has been for quite a while. The doctors don’t seem to know what is the matter, or if they do they are not saying. She has been to Mayo’s twice, had numerous examinations and an operation and is steadily getting worse. I have not told her that I am writing you for she is too ill to be told. Her mother is here but would not know what to do as the daughter has always been the one to look after all matters. So, I am doing this on my own initiative, and assure you I will use the utmost discretion in the use of any reading you may make and will take full responsibility for it. I shall appreciate it very much if you will make this rdg. at once and send it to me.”
