  2. As we find, the conditions have become quite serious.

  3. If there had been the opening to the bone BEFORE, the limb might be saved.

  4. As we find in the present, there has become such a condition in the structural portion or the bone itself that even with amputation - unless there is GREAT precaution taken - it will extend on later.

  5. For the infectious forces have advanced into the blood stream, as well as the forces along portions of the nerve AND impelling forces in the system.

  6. The amputation then as we find would be necessary, and GREAT PRECAUTIONS MUST BE taken respecting the manner of handling same!

  7. It is too late to do otherwise, to ATTEMPT even to do otherwise, to save the experience for the body in the present.

  8. Ready for questions.

  9. (Q) What is the nature of the infection? (A) As given, it is from the BONE structure itself; fracture in the bone structure - a leakage.
