Science”) This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of June, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [1612], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Dr. Henry Hardwicke - N.Y. meeting May 24th, and H. L. Cayce.

Born November 17, 1886, in Philadelphia, Penna. Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Life Reading Suggestion)

1. EC: (In going back over years from present - ” - 1926 - many other changes that have passed - ‘25 - ” etc., on back to birth date.)

2. Yes, quite a record we have here of that entity now known as or called Miss [1612].

3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find here, these are chosen with the desire to make for the entity a helpful experience in applying the abilities - which are latent and manifested in the present - for bringing greater peace and harmony, and a development to the entity or soul in this sojourn.

4. As we find from the astrological aspects - these are given irrespective of what the entity has done about same; or irrespective of what the entity may do.

5. From the records we find that these have been used, or choices have been made, that may be helpful or detrimental - in the final analysis of the present experience.

6. For there must come in the experience of the entity the testing periods for that which has been and is the holiest of holies in the mental and spiritual self.

7. In Jupiter we find those influences of a benevolent, protective nature; making for the associations with activities in which great masses are influenced.

8. Through Jupiter with Venus we find a love for ease and comfort; KNOWING the meanings of love irrespective of that arising from emotional forces of the body - or of sex.

9. These as we find also make for the inclination (the combination of these) for the entity to choose same, irrespective of what it may bring into the experiences of others.

10. In Uranus with Mercury we find one with very high mental abilities; ambitious to a great extent; yet inclined to be more procrastinating than active in the application of same. There are also the tendencies towards becoming rather fleshy in portions of the experience unless activities are taken to prevent such.

11. These also make for the inclinations for interests in special types of music, especially that which is descriptive. Not exactly of the nature as would be called riotous, but rather of the nature that is descriptive in a Bohemian manner - or descriptive of what is termed ordinarily as a Bohemian life. And there are the inclinations toward such.

12. As may be seen, much of these arise also from the application of self in those directions - or of those natures in same.

13. Interests arise in the metaphysical and in things pertaining to the occult and the mysterious. And these make for the inclinations at times when the entity MUST - as it has, and not always to its best - curb its temper.

14. At times these have been those things that have brought the greater mental anxiety into the present experience.

15. As to the appearances in the earth, we find that these are not so great in number that influence the entity in the present, but of a very definite nature and character, and activity.

16. Before this we find the entity was in the French land during those periods of the Louises, when there was a great deal of activity among those peoples of the Court.

17. Then entity was then a maid or a lady in waiting in the court of that particular land; becoming very closely associated or affiliated with the activities of same; knowing a great deal as to the associations of the King - or of Louis 14th and 15th. For the entity had knowledge or was aware of many of the activities of these, as well as of other individuals in the court, and all the entanglements that arose.

18. In the present we find the abilities of the entity especially in dress; but white and mauve and certain shades of royal purple make a feeling to the entity of something that is not experienced with other types of costume or dress. And there has been a portion of the experience when these have meant - and may mean - a great deal to the entity in the present.

19. Also we find that in the present these may be turned to advantage.

20. But find thyself and thy activities in thy relationships to others to bring constructive experiences ever, and be not unmindful of the church - though thy activities in that sojourn were NOT inclined to make for the honor of same as it should be in the minds of individuals.

21. The entity’s name in that experience was Matilda Snell, though known by many another name by those of the court; coming, as it were, from the Chateau-Thierry, the entity was aware of much of those activities that prompted the revolutionary forces. And it may in the present be associated with and aware of that which makes for constructive forces in the experiences of many.

22. Before that we find the entity was active in those influences during the periods of the return of the children of promise, or of Israel, to the Promised Land.

23. Then entity was active in that particular portion under Nehemiah, or the one known as or called Nehemiah; for the entity then was the companion or the wife of Nehemiah - in the name Adjaah, being of the Chaldean as well as of the Jewish peoples.

24. In the experience the entity gained throughout. While there were periods of turmoils and periods when many anxieties were brought for the entity because of the mixed relations, the entity developed because of the adherence to and the fulfilling of not only the records for the King but for Nehemiah.

25. Again we find in the present from that sojourn not only the abilities for dress, but the music - and those things pertaining to the MENTAL activities through rote association become a part of the entity’s experience.

26. And in the present the application of those things in its relationships to those in authority or in power brings helpful forces in such activity.

27. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Egyptian, when those peoples from Atlantis were entering into Egypt; owing to the periods of the destructive forces.

28. The entity was of the children of the Law of One, and with its young offspring - that were questioned by many of her own peoples - the entity came into Egypt as a help to those who aided in establishing the better associations and connections with the Priest and the King of the land, as well as the combinations through the dispersing and dispensing of activities with other lands; as in the land of Saneid and On and Og.

29. All of these became a part of the entity’s experience, in the name Asameeen.

30. The entity then made for a great development. For the unifying of those of many cults (as they would be termed), or of many phases of development of the people during that experience, was a part of the activities.

31. Hence in the present there are the abilities to make for the unison of activities in those directions in which there may become the better understanding and relationships between all phases of human experience, as related to the moral as well as the social life of groups and individuals and activities.

32. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:

33. Those activities as indicated may be a part of the entity’s experience in the present; as in music, as especially in dress, and associations and activities.

34. The heart and purpose is right within self. Let not thy good be evilspoken of. This may be implied, or applied, from activities in any phase or manner.

35. Study then to show thyself approved unto all good conscience; rightly dividing the words of truth; keeping self in the way and manner in which it may be the channel of help and blessings to others.

36. Thus may the entity gain the greater through this experience.

37. Ready for questions.

38. (Q) What has been my past associations with Mr. [1767], what are the urges from these associations and what may I do now that will aid in his mental and spiritual development? (A) In the Egyptian or the Atlantean sojourn, the son of the entity. And the whole of the relationship in the present oft bears just that relationship; as the mothering of many of those ideas and factors.

Also in the return from captivity, we find the entity was the companion. Thus we find the relationships bring about a helpful experience throughout.

And these may be held in that same way and manner; as the mother-protector, as the counselor and aid in the varied experiences.

Study those activities of each, and ye will find how these are as applicable in the experience in the present.

39. (Q) What has been the past relationship with my brother, […]; explain the present urges for each and what may I do that will aid in his mental and spiritual development? (A) During the French experience the entity was a friend, though he was one in authority. And these have brought questionings back and forth oft.

In the present turn more of the thoughts to not the metaphysical alone, but rather the SPIRITUAL as APPLIED to metaphysical activities; and these may be the channels through which greater help or aid may be given - and GAINED by self from such an activity.

40. (Q) Please discuss my aura, color, significance, etc. (A) As indicated by the manner in which the outer influences are as to dress in the present. White and mauve and purple become, or are, the NATURAL emanations or activities from emanations, that are ever better about the entity.

Hence we find in the aura the physical and the mental and spiritual emanations, that show for developments and retardments as well as abilities for the studying, classifying and applying of same. However, as indicated, the entity oft is dilatory - or inclined to procrastinate.

Rather then let it be up and doing while it may!

41. (Q) What is the best way to present spiritual and psychic studies to individuals of a purely materialistic frame of mind? (A) Each and every entity or individual has within self that which seeks for continuity of life or force; continuity of experience. Through these manners, then, and the impressing upon these; not from the materialistic but from the mental and spiritual viewpoint. For only good - as God - lives on.

These then can ONLY be expressed or manifested to others, then, through that phase of every individual.

Remarks on Life Reading

French experience - inclinations all tend to reflect this - whenever in Europe (11 times) visited Versailles and all the courts etc. - always spent more time in France, Vichy - etc.

• usually buy French furniture & furnishings, like French food - Studied only French language when a child tho not desired by parents to do so - feel at home in the palaces etc., but have no definite memories of having been there before. Have no desire for wine but whenever I take it prefer Champagne -

Colors - lavender favorite color - deep purple in flowers - always buy dark purple flowers for planting in the garden - Music - like good music - Bohemian & thrilling marches such as The Prophet - Aida - 1812 - Robespierre - Rienze -

Episcopal church - but later - Unity & Metaphysical & Spiritualistic teachings - Love more ideal than sexual - deep even after his death.

R8. 5/57 Gina Cerminara, in her book THE WORLD WITHIN, page 118, refers to Mr. [1767] and Miss [1612] as follows:

“An interesting case of a previous mother-son relationship is to be seen in the case of a famous and wealthy American industrialist who was refused a divorce by his wife for many years. Unable to win his freedom, he proceeded to live with and support another woman with whom he had a deep bond of sympathy and understanding, a woman of quick intelligence and wide culture. She was his confidante in matters of business and was solicitous both of his health and his tastes in food. She was told: ‘In the Atlantean sojourn, he was the son of the entity. And the whole of the relationship in the present often bears just that same aspect, as the entity mothers his ideas and his welfare.’”
