Protestant) This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Ill., Room 901 this 11th day of March, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [165].

[Edgar Cayce; Mr. [165], Conductor; Theresa Rosen and Marion Custer, Stenos.]

Time of Reading 8:22 A. M. Central Standard Time. …, Ill. (Business Situations)

  1. EC: We have the body, the inquiring mind, [165], present in this room. In the physical forces of the body here we find very good throughout in many ways and the physical reaction to the body is keeping in attunement with the development in physical and in mental abilities of the body.

  2. While there are those conditions that show the effect of that called “time” or “age” by name, as given, these keep in attunement with the physical development and the mental abilities of the body.

  3. Beware of too much mental strain, especially when there is the digestion taking place in the body for the weaknesses, tendencies are toward those of the pressure to the hypo- gastrics that would cause headaches or nausea and resultant the activity of those portions that bring the distress in the lower digestive system.

  4. These rather as warnings than as conditions that cause distress. Keep physically fit through activity of the body, physically and mentally but keep well balanced.

  5. In business relations, these some present themselves as have had before - some changes have taken place since that we had before. Some have been very satisfactory, especially as to the spread or the channels through which production could or would go. Some have been curtailed in directions unexpected. This comes from misunderstandings on the part of others and not result of neglect on part of body, [165], nor any associated with same but will adjust themselves as does conditions that have to do with the expansion for the greater production. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) What approach should be made to Louis Francis of Asheville in soliciting his business? (A) In this connection, as given, appeal rather to the inner or spiritual man. This apparent from first glance would be going out of ordinary business routine but that the product presented is of superior quality and the use of same desired by those associated in the manufacturing. In then get the inner side of the man through the appeal to that of justice to self and to [165]‘s product. See.

  7. (Q) How can [165]‘s personal financial condition be quickly improved? (A) This in very good condition when considering that the advance and the product is being taken. Only appeal then to those using same to meet the needs of the conditions for the period for in the spring and summer there will come the greater possibilities for the financial ends to be made better. See.

  8. (Q) Should [165]‘s firm construct a new office building and when? (A) 1929.

  9. (Q) How can [165]‘s firm best assist [257] in his radio cabinet finishes? (A) These will be met as the necessary conditions arise - that is, as has been given regarding radio cabinets. These are to find sudden change in the manner or style of construction during this present year; hence, no very great amount of one character of finish is best as has been given but as the changes arise in mode and manner of construction, the way and manner of finish by the various manufacturers will be worked out with those supplying finishing materials. See.

  10. (Q) Should [165]‘s firm borrow on mortgage to retire Preferred Stock? (A) Very good. That is, this presents the manner, the means of meeting conditions in a manner that is in keeping with the developing and the expansion of the business and would be then good business.

  11. (Q) Will [165]‘s entire family return from Europe with him or only the boy? [164] (A) We find only the boy, yet this may be changed, for wills of individuals are involved in the condition. See.

  12. (Q) How can [165]‘s Superintendent, […], be trained to function better? (A) We don’t find […]. Yes. Yes. We have […]. Finally got in. Too shallow. Some persistence and some very strong measures needed with this man […]. Then would it pay. That would be the better manner - persistence but very strong measures to increase the abilities of the entity’s efforts toward better activity in the labors of the day. See.

  13. (Q) When will [165]‘s firm get the Electric Household Utilities business? (A) In the early spring.

  14. (Q) How can [165]‘s firm get the Federal Metal Bed Company’s business? (A) Just persistent presentation of the product as is used by the finishers of same and in that manner of presentation to the finishers, to the superintendent, and to those in charge of same. This would require some diplomatic activity, yet [165] is capable of handling it by carrying it to the finishers, to the superintendent, to the people in charge. See.

  15. (Q) Will Mr. [5616] be successful in this during the coming week? (A) We would give it, [165] would be better successful.

  16. (Q) Would [165] lose his secretary, Miss [4565] by reason of her becoming married within two or three years? (A) No - better make it four.

  17. (Q) Will it be possible to secure results with the Pick-Barth Company? (A) Slow, but results may be obtained.

  18. (Q) Just one more question. Should [[165] & [5616]] Company expand or with present volume try to make the most of their business? (A) Let the expansion keep up. Do not go too fast but do not curtail expansion as business is demanding same in the products of this company. See. Work that in hand, see, but let normal expansion be kept up.

  19. We are through.
