This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [1688], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, this we have had here before, [1688].

3. While there have been changes in the general physical condition of the body, as we find, there are adhesions in the pleura of the right lung, which at times gives a great deal of distress to the whole reactions upon the body, weakening the body and leaving lack of abilities of the body to assimilate foods properly.

4. As we find, it would be better to have these broken up with Sinusoidal treatments, electrically administered, and we may have same from Ober and the massage which should be followed with this should bring a great deal of improvement for the body.

6. (Q) Is this what is causing pain in upper right back rib which affects entire right side and arm? (A) Yes, in the upper right back and throughout the body.

For the sinus conditions under eye, do not operate or drain same in that manner but use the inhalant prepared in this manner: Prepare a six ounce large-mouth bottle with two vents in same and for the present, don’t allow the vents to enter the bottle. Put this solution in the bottle in the order named, first four ounces of grain alcohol then add:

Oil of Eucalyptus…20 drops, Oil of Turp…5 drops, Rectified Creosote…8 drops, Tincture of Benzoin…15 drops, Tolu in Solution…20 drops.

Inhale this deeply into nostrils at least three times each day.

Do take, as is indicated, with the Sinusoidal, which once a week should be sufficient, a general osteopathic treatment.

8. (Q) Is the use of bile salts harmful? (A) Depends upon quantity taken and how often. The bile salts with the ALCAROID is very well provided not too much is used at a time.

9. (Q) What will eliminate gas condition? (A) The ALCAROID. This should be taken one-quarter of a teaspoonful stirred in water after each meal.

10. (Q) What can be done for growth on left side of nose? (“This was removed once by electrolysis but has returned.”) (A) We would use Camphorated Oil on same to keep it pliable. Don’t have it removed again, else we may have a condition where it may become growing or even become malignant in its nature.

11. (Q) What would be the effect on my body from working in an airconditioned building? (A) This depends upon the temperature at which such is kept. Normal conditions would not be injurious, anything above the normal would be disadvantageous rather than advantageous.

We would change to Government association, shorter hours, better pay and these should make bettered conditions for this body.

Age at date of reading: 27 Sex: Female Date of Reading: Sept. 22, 1938.

Chief Complaint: Complications which arose from a nervous reflex condition in the duodenum and also to the gall duct area.

Date of Onset: Approximately three years before first reading.

Duration: Treatments are continued in order that the condition does not become acute as the trouble seems to be chronic.

Reoccurrence: [No response]

Intensity: Produced a very weakening condition, inability to retain foods, lack of the ability for assimilation.

Physicians’ Diagnosis and Treatment: Physicians diagnosed case as nervousness, but could not ascertain cause nor give relief.

Reading’s Recommendations:

1. HEAVY CASTOR OIL PACKS for three days with large dose of olive oil at end of 3rd day.
2. Corrections in the cervicals, and through the lumbar and sacral areas.
3. High enemas.
4. Liquid and semi-liquid diet until abilities are attained for the body to be strengthened sufficiently to carry on.
