This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of April, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [1695], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.) Miss [1695] and her aunt.]

Time of Reading 11:20 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Virginia.

  1. GC: You will have before you the body and inquiring mind of [1695] present in this room, together with her present physical condition, her present upset conditions in her home, her brothers […] and […], and […] her present employment, and associations with her present employers.

You will go into these thoroughly and give specific and definite advice and counsel that will be easily understood by the body. You will answer the questions as I ask them:

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the inquiring mind [1695]; this we have had in part before.

  2. As for the physical disturbances, much of the upset condition comes from the periods of anxiety in the present.

  3. For as indicated, there is the incoordination at times between sympathetic and cerebrospinal reflexes, especially in the nerve control in heart’s activity and as related to assimilation and the distribution of that assimilated.

  4. We would keep rather close to the mechanical and mental activities as we have indicated. Thus we will keep the better conditions.

  5. As has been well said, let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God. Then believe in that closeness with which ye may walk with the Master. For as He has said, “If ye open the door I will enter.” But when there is considered only self, self’s anxieties, self’s fears, these cause the closing of that freedom with which the Master may speak with thee.

  6. As for those anxieties as related to the brother, these can only be met according to the purposes within the brother himself. These ye cannot change of thyself. There must be those decisions within himself. If there is the decision to make reparations and to undertake to carry on, there can be employment and activities that would have little or nothing to do with the disturbances which have arisen - and through same reparations may be made. These associations can be met with such organizations as the Kraft Cheese Company or distributors through the Tobacco Company or such organizations.

  7. When these decisions have been reached, it would be well for there to be agreements as to whether the home is to be discontinued. Not until those decisions have been made can there be the determining, for ye have a duty, ye have an obligation, ye have that which ye must meet with thy brother who is afflicted. He should not be put somewhere else, then, unless there is the neglect or disregard by thy other brother as to those duties, those obligations that are a part of his experience in the present.

  8. So the determining factors, then, depend upon choices; not upon self other than that ye may obtain through the closer walk with Jesus. Do not condemn anyone. Do not feel sorry for self. Do not blame anyone. For with what judgment ye mete, the same will be meted to thee.

  9. As to relations in employment, we find if there is the allowing of the feelings to be expressed there will be - yes - a wedding. It depends entirely upon the entity itself.

  10. Ready for questions.

  11. (Q) Do I have any cavities in any of my teeth? (A) These should be attended to locally by a dentist. There are some that need attention, but these will be kept in better shape if there is less worry and the use more of such as Ipana for massaging the gums as well as the teeth.

  12. (Q) What arrangements can be made for Mr. […]? (A) Let him look out for himself! He hasn’t regarded thee!

  13. (Q) In the event it is necessary to break up the home, where would be the best place for me to make my home? (A) These must be choices within self, but if there is the prayer, if there is the keeping of counsel this should not be necessary - as yet.

  14. (Q) Will the existing home conditions have any detrimental effect on me where I am at present employed? (A) Read what has just been given. He wouldn’t be thinking about what we have given if it makes any difference. For he doesn’t expect to marry the family!

  15. We are through.
