This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of February, 1930, in accordance with request made by the self - [1713].

EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1713]; this we have had before. In many respects the body shows improvements; in many others the nerve system is so overtaxed at times as to bring about most every character of disorder as presents itself for the body, as has been given.
-
In the application of the manipulations, these should be more of a THOROUGH going over and an EQUALIZING of the whole system; especially in those centers about the coordination between sympathetic and cerebro-spinal system.
-
In the diet - these should be much that will give plenty of iron and rebuilding forces in the blood stream, as WELL as nerve building - which are much along the same line.
-
There should be, also, sufficient of the exercises, physically, that that as is taken - or as digested - may have the proper distribution for physical use; so that the muscular forces of the body may coordinate more properly with the whole system.
-
The conditions in the abdomen still show signs of the lesions or scar tissue giving trouble at times, from the non-absorption as SHOULD take place in such conditions. This the cause, most often, of the nausea - or pain and sickness experienced by the body in riding, especially in the open where the outside is seen.
-
In the activity of the nerve forces, the coordination through the application of the violet ray will tend to soothe the nerve centers, as this should be applied AFTER the manipulations are given.
-
The eyes, as cause some distress at times, need the attention of an optometrist, and this will aid in RELIEVING much of the nerve pressure also.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Are toxins being eliminated? (A) The eliminations should be more effective, or more coordinating. The body rarely perspires. This bad in this direction. The body rarely has the proper eliminations without the use of the activity of the system. Colonic irrigations, if PROPERLY given, would be helpful and beneficial to the body.
-
(Q) Is coordination better? (A) Better. Do these as we have given, and we will find bettered conditions for the body; for, as has been outlined, it would be WELL - as has been given - for the body to EXPERIENCE that of Motherhood. We are through for the present.

R1. 2/11/30 [1713]‘s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Just a line to let you know that I am in receipt of reading which you sent me a few days ago, and would appreciate very much if you would explain or make some parts of the reading clearer to me as for instance in the diet to rebuild forces in the blood stream. Does that mean milk, eggs or what?
In regard to exercises, does that mean walking, the swinging exercise, or what other exercise?
In regard to glasses: I had them changed about 3 months ago. According to reading does that mean I wasn’t fitted properly?
What can I do to perspire?
What is meant by colonic irrigation. How can I go about it?
In regard to experiencing that of Motherhood, does that mean that I would be in better health?
Would be very glad to hear from you as soon as convenient.
With kindest regards, Mrs. [1713]
R2. 2/25/30 EC’s letter to [1713]:
Dear Mrs. [1713]
Replying to yours of the 11th, I am listing below some of the blood building foods - which are also nerve building; in fact, these are the principle blood building foods:
Beets, whole wheat, whole barley, lettuce, spinach, lentils, peas, green peas, red cabbage, carrots, asparagus, yellow corn, ripe olives, unpolished rice, onions, blackberries, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, pears, loganberries, gooseberries, peaches, raisins, apples, concord grapes, rare beef, calf’s liver, raw egg yolk, walnuts, almonds, beechnuts, rye, currants, cucumbers.
Walking, the bicycle exercise, and lying flat of the back and swinging the limbs from one side to the other, are what I would call the swinging exercises.
The glasses may have been fitted properly three months ago, but it seems that the eyes need some attention now. I would go to a good optometrist and have them examined again. Perhaps the glasses are too strong, or something like that.
Perspiration can be started by taking exercise, or by taking a sweat bath to open the pores of the skin - or this may be done in the bath at home, by putting a pound of Epsom salts in a tub of water as hot as can be used, and sit or stay in for about fifteen minutes.
Colonic irrigations are high enemas, and may be obtained from a place where they specialize in giving these. Most up to date osteopaths have one of these appliances in their office. However, care should be taken and it should be done by one who knows how to give these irrigations properly.
Yes, I understand that you would be in better health for having experienced Motherhood. The readings have long told you that.
Hoping these explanations will be satisfactory and of help to you, and with kindest regards and best wishes, I am
Sincerely, [EC:GD]
