1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present entity.

2. In entering, we find the influences astrologically are as those in Mercury, bringing in those of Jupiter, Mars and Uranus. Saturn and Neptune - these, as we find, astrologically make for contending influences, and - as has been seen in other experiences, as well as in the present - that tendency towards the inability of controlling temper, bringing for unpleasantness that has grown into conditions of distraughtness, discontent, contention, and the like.

3. In the influences as seen in Mercurian with Jupiterian, brings for the bigness of the ABILITIES of the entity, yet some elements as seen from Saturn and even from those in Neptune - with Mars - have brought those conditions that are seen in little undermining conditions, seemingly having arisen out of nowhere, which have brought for distrautness. These, as will be seen, are those conditions as have been builded innately, and the entity must meet those in the everyday affairs of the present experience, and in the application of self as respecting those conditions as make for an EVEN temper, an even activity and sureness of purpose, and oneness of labor, may bring those conditions - while they have been and will be upsetting in many ways - that will straighten out much that has been disrupting to the entity through the present, as well as other experiences.

4. In the application of self as respecting conditions innately builded, which are both environmental and hereditary conditions; true hereditary effects being those that have been builded, and should be met by self through those conditions, as in the application of self throughout the earth’s experience, or through the varied astrological influences. These, with the environmental forces through which the entity finds self active in the present, make for that which may be as the using of self in such a way and manner as to merit, through - not any GOODNESS done, but rather as of kindness, consideration, patience, endurance, long-suffering, loving kindness, brotherly love - these build for that which may not be taken from an individual; for they become as individualities, and make for - in the personality as exhibited in the earth’s experience - those conditions which will make for the mental balance and content, and the material gains of such a nature as to make for contentment and the carrying away of dissatisfaction, discourteousness, disrespect, disregard for law, for order, home, kindnesses, and such - for these make for those conditions as bring the disorders in an individual’s experience.

5. In the experiences, then, as seen in the earth’s plane:

In the one before this we find in that period when there were the defenses in the Roman land, when there were wars as between those of the church and states, in that period that was known as the inquisitions, when the Alexanders - as the rulers in church and in state - were giving of destructive forces. Then the entity in one of the guards, Tirtelilus, found favor in the material things, and found self - as it was - disregarding the respect of self; for one innately knows that which is in error, and to act a manner and to in outward appearance believe another is to bring for disrespect and disregard of self, others, and the condition and surroundings. These brought for destructive forces in the entity, and makes for that element that is often felt, as would like to gain the world as disregarding law or order.

7. In the one before this we find in that experience when the replenishing or the rebuilding of the walls of the Holy City. The entity then among those who, under Nehemiah, gained in the activities of the replenishing of materials for the building up of the wall, and in the name Elisheja the entity gained and lost. Gained in the service as rendered to the peoples as for a purpose, as being guided by one whose ideal was set above that of just ideas, and in the latter portion the self-aggrandizement of the interests as were given in the city, in the place of position and power, did the entity use or abuse the privileges given. In the present there is seen that DESIRE to be good, but be good for a cause rather than being good for something; being good as is seen from the GAIN, and not that of service. THIS the entity should alter within self, being not only good - but good for SOMETHING. Lose self rather in the service of others, and find that in whatsoever state the entity finds self, in that be CONTENT; not satisfied, knowing that, that which is builded in self - whether of the material or of the mental forces - must be guided by that as is universal in its aspect, would it be the lasting or that sure foundation that will build for a life worth living.

8. In the one before this we find in that period when there was the sojourn of the peoples from bondage into the promise land. The entity then among those of the sons of Levi who were given a heritage and a place among the peoples, and following in those and with those of that tribe, in the name Eliasia. The entity gained and lost. Being among those who attempted to build for the peoples in their murmurings, as the calf was raised in the wilderness, the entity lost in leading those that sought for rather the gratification of the MATERIAL conditions, than feeding on those of the spiritual life as would bring the greater blessings in the experience.

9. In the abilities of the entity, and that to which it may attain in the present, and how:

First, in MATERIAL conditions, we will find those of a secular life that has to do with wheels, or machinery, or things of motive force, will be of the greatest interest and of those elements THROUGH which - or in the sale, or representative, or agent, or such - may the entity gain of material conditions; but first must entity find SELF and set an ideal for self in SPIRITUAL matters, in MENTAL attributes, in MENTAL attainments; for remembering that Mind is the Builder, and that the spirit forces is that which is the active force from which, of which, man may use same for material gains or material detriments; for the SPIRIT is willing, the FLESH is often weak, and guided awry must bring for consternations - as they have in the past. Show self friendly, would self have FRIENDS. Seek through channels that there has been service rendered; not as an eyeservice, that one may become beholden to another; and do not pat another on the back simply to be patted; but speak gently, affectionately, one with another; with brotherly love PREFERRING one another, and keep self unspotted from TAINTED things, QUESTIONABLE positions, QUESTIONABLE conditions. So act, as to look every man in the face and to be able to tell them that, that I have committed is an open book, and he who runs may read; that I have done may all do likewise. ACT in THAT manner, and the sureness of self may be found in the material, in the mental things - for God is not a respecter of persons; neither is He short armed, either in giving that as will mete out for the keeping of the will one with another; neither is He short sighted in that as is committed in willful negligence, or willful disobedience, for he that abhorreth good loveth evil, and he that buildeth contention shall suddenly be destroyed - and that without mercy. Show mercy and loving kindness, then, would same be had. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) What is the entity and body best suited for to make the success of life he desires? (A) This has been outlined. Wheels, machinery, and such. Those that have to do with things of the kind, whether in the manufacture of materials, or in those that would be motive forces, either in that of the transmission of sound, sight, vision, or of motive - commercial motives - these, and these interests. We are through.

You will no doubt be surprised but pleased to receive your life reading. Inasmuch as you have shown great patience, yours was chosen as the one to be taken this morning. We are certainly very much in hopes that you will gain a great deal from the study of this reading, and if you will follow it out persistently I am sure you will reap the benefits.

I would suggest that you take this reading to Mr. [257] and get him to go over it with you. If there is any part of it you do not understand, please write us regarding it - for we are only too glad to explain it the best we can. Dear Miss Davis:

I have never received a reading set for Dec. 6th and will ask you to kindly present these questions to Mr. Cayce and use them in connection with the six questions I left with you while at the Beach.

If you have misplaced these six questions, you may use this set of questions in lieu of the ones I gave you while at Virginia Beach.
