This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of October, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [1740], via Mr. [4652] and Mrs. [2541].

1. EC: We have the entity, [1740] - and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present entity.

2. In entering we find the entity coming under the influence of Aquarius and the Moon, with Jupiter, Mercury, Venus influences in the experience of the entity. Mars as an affliction in the Moon, especially in the harvest seasons. Hence we find there have been conflicting experiences in the entity’s sojourn in the present, as well as in the manner - or matter - of application of self as respecting those who were born especially under Sagittarius, or the early fall or harvest moon - September. In the present, many conflicting things, then, as given, and only an astrological aspect would be so conflicting as to be confusing, would the entity understand self in the present and make application of that as has been experienced and may be experienced.

3. One, without respect of will, that may be termed by others as quick tempered; oft regretting the expressions of self, yet would not acknowledge it for many reasons best known to self.

4. One to whom such influences have brought conditions that have brought worriment at times; which has made an appearance in the actions of the entity, that has oft been called - by those not thinking too well of the entity - as a veneer; while from within, and innate in self, there are deeper, better, more sublime endeavors attempting to be made known in the experience of the entity; for in Jupiter, and the strength as seen with that influence in Mercury, the entity is mentally well balanced, physically attractive, mentally SUPERB at times; and yet not satisfied, not content, not giving forth that as is most sought for by the entity; seeking - seeking - here, there - this environ, then another - yet none answering wholly that as is being sought for by something that that continues to call from within. Not satisfied with the relations with others, often known by self to be misunderstood; not purposely so, for the abilities, the acquaintanceships, the possibilities, the opportunities, have been, are, will be, great in the experience of the entity. What the entity does WITH these opportunities is dependent most upon self, blame others as the entity may; for when turmoils arise, unless the foundation is laid in an element that is of the constructive force - as of creative energies from within - turmoils, strifes, misunderstandings, must be the fruit, the seed, of physical or mental endeavors; for indeed thoughts are deeds, and as their currents run in the experience of individuals they BECOME miracles or crimes.

5. In the influences seen in Aquarius, and the DETRIMENTAL effects in Sagittarius - conflict, for while waters and great expanses of space call, in these the entity finds the most QUIETING of experiences; for in an experience as will be seen, and under circumstances when expanses and spaces brought the most contemplative experience of the mental being, did the entity gain most.

6. In those influences from Mars and Venus, these bring those sudden desires as regard physical relationships, bringing loves of a fiery nature within, and the seeking for the gratification of desires as respecting individuals; which, if guided aright, will yet bring in the experience OF the entity a body THROUGH which, WITH which, the entity may gain; not an EASINESS, but a surcease of a nature that will bring quiet and restfulness, and peace, in the experience of the entity. Be sure that such an one is of the fire nature, and that his INFLUENCES - as periods - are in the fall, or October, and either a one and two, or two and two, or two and four.

7. In the appearances in the earth’s plane and their influences in the present experience:

In the one before this we find in that period when the first settlers, or settlement, were established in the new land, near that known as the vine land, or in the region of the east coast - near what would now be Bridgeport, did the entity - with that group - as the companion of the settler Ivan Oslo - experience many hardships physically, yet much gratification in that which the entity sought to leave; and yet much turned to bitterness in the experiences during that period. In the present we find the entity’s tendency to shift from scene to scene, to apparently shift also in likes and dislikes as respecting individuals.

9. In the one before this we find in that land known as the Ukraine, and when there were the establishing in the land of the hills for worship and for play. The entity was among those who were what would be TERMED in the present, not only patron to the saints, but also to those who physically exercised bodily forces as to ILLUSTRATE experiences in man’s development; for the body-PHYSICAL - as statuary, as figures (human) depicting the experiences, whether of pleasure or torture - are in the present a desire innate, and a study of same is most interesting. Hence the theatre, MUSIC - music both pastoral and that of sacred nature - has its, or casts its varied spells upon the inner chords of the consciousness of the entity. Easy, then, for the entity to give expression of the inner self, whether as to laughter or as to tears, as to sorrow, as to gladness, as to pleasure, or of temper. In the name Voerlr.

In the one before this we find in that land known as the Egyptian, during that period when there were dissensions, discussions, disruptions in the land, through the experience brought into the peoples through the banishing of him set as an ensample, as a high priest. The entity among those peoples to whom those in the latter portion of the return to the succor and aid for peoples, the entity aided when there was the establishing of the place for the development of mind, of body, of the inner man. Hence MENTALLY the entity’s expanses are well.

11. In the one before this we find in that period when Atlantean forces were in activity. The entity then among those that gathered in the mountain tops and watched over the destruction by the incoming of waters, and over the vast expanses as were made by the receding of waters. The entity then WONDERED, even as the little one, even as one wondering about the development of movement of forces from within that awakens those passions that may bring beings into the world, or those that may wreck the mental and physical. SO the body wondered as respecting what the whole force in nature meant; a worshiper of the sun later, yet GAINING through the experience in that there came that consciousness of the forces as are manifested in nature of every character, that are shown in the moods or the varied experiences of an ACTIVE mind, or man.

12. In the abilities of the entity, and that to which it may attain in the present, and how:

In the consecration of self to an individual purpose, seeking out - in a not UNSEEMLY manner, but in an active and a passive manner - the mate that may bring those understandings of the relationships as were wondered of, about, for, and applying those in the life. Not what I may do were I under different circumstances or surroundings; not what may I do in the present? but use that in hand in a manner in keeping with IDEALS as are innate within self, and as there is need of other things they will be added unto thee. Keep the body fit. Keep the mind awake, and active in the direction of APPLICATION of that known - in an ACTIVE manner. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) Should the body marry again? If so, who? (A) This has been given, and who - or the PERIODS in which such a relationship is best adaptable.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

A few days ago I had the pleasure of hearing much about your work through Mr. [4652] and Mrs. [2541] of the … Hotel.

Mr. [4652] felt you were the person I needed for help and advice and I am writing asking if you could help me before I sail for Europe - the beginning of June.

I would indeed be grateful to you.

I have been a widow for fifteen years - and while my time is fully occupied I am a very lonely soul - craving for companionship.

There have been many men in my life, but somehow never THE right one for whom I cared enough to marry. Can you tell me if I am ever to be married again?

This is the subject for which I need your help. Will you do that for me?

I trust I may hear from you and tell me when I can expect a reading.

Mrs. [1740] New York, N.Y.

My dear Mrs. [1740]:

I was sorry indeed that we were not able to get this appointment for you before your sailing, but we have such a great number of requests for information from people that are in very precarious conditions, and who are seeking to get a little more time in this life, we feel that these are the more urgent ones. Then, being limited as we are to only a small number - as compared to the requests - we feel we HAVE to give them the preference. Wherever we have the opportunity, when one of these have waited possibly a little too long - or they find they cannot wait for the time that has been allotted them for an appointment - we are able to get those for other people in. We hope that you will bear with us, if you still have the confidence and desire the information through these sources. Possibly on your return you can arrange to come down as soon as convenient. If not, why of course we will be glad to return your contribution. However, we hope that you feel you would like to try and help someone who is not so fortunate as yourself to get some insight into that which will be of physical assistance to them. Let us know your wishes in the matter.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Was indeed sorry you could not give me a reading before I sailed. Of course, I realize illness comes first but my request was more of moral advice - which sometimes is necessary too. However, I appreciate your feeling in the matter.

I do not ever expect to come to Virginia but if you will reserve some time between the 20th and 25th of Sept. kindly let me know - if not, why. Do as you think best.
