This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of March, 1941, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [480], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Hugh Lynn Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Margaret L. Harrington and Curtis Hudgins.]

Time of Reading 4:05 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Michigan.

  1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1788]; this we have had before.

  3. Many changes have taken place, and there has been the nominal growth and development for the body.

  4. In the present we find an acute condition, that of a glandular infectious force; or a form of eruption as sometimes called roseola.

  5. The infection, of course, is to the throat and to the glands upon either side that supply especially the circulation through the vegetative nerve system; with an upset stomach, a high temperature, and those tendencies for lack of food - or lack of taking food, and the inability to assimilate same.

  6. It is best to keep the body quiet.

  7. Do not overfeed.

  8. Use a gentle massage - as may be indicated as beneficial - in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, and especially about the thyroid glands, and the temple.

  9. At least three times each day give a mild camomile tea, to reduce the disturbance in the intestinal tract and especially to settle the stomach. Pour a pint of boiling water over a teaspoonful of the camomile and allow to steep as tea. These would be the proportions. The dosage would be a teaspoonful three times a day - of the tea, you see; made in the manner indicated.

  10. If there is the tendency for high fever, then bathe gently along the stomach and the diaphragm area, and the spine - sponging off - with grain alcohol; not rub alcohol, but grain alcohol. This will tend to reduce temperature.

  11. Do these, and we will find that conditions will clear in five to eight days.

  12. Ready for questions.

  13. (Q) Should orange juice and tomato juice be included in diet? (A) Not unless the body desires to take same. This is very well, of course, for all the vitamins as necessary for daily activity; but do not force this upon the body.

Fresh grape juice is preferable. This does not mean manu- factured juice, but the juice crushed from fresh grapes, see?

  1. We are through with this Reading.
