This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of February, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1810], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (Comment while attempting to locate the body - “Quite a large post!”) [GD’s note: I assume he is referring to her job and living quarters in girls’ large dormitory.]

3. Yes, we have the body here, [1810]; this we have had before.

4. As we find, while conditions are improved, there is the tendency - owing to some indiscretions on the part of the body regarding diet and the eliminations - for the reverting of the conditions as related to liver and gall duct, and the circulation in the liver, heart and lungs.

5. In the present, - we would apply the Castor Oil Packs for an hour each day, three days in succession out of each week for three or four series, over the liver and gall duct area.

6. Following each three-day series of the Packs, take internally two tablespoonsful of Olive Oil.

7. Then the next day have the osteopathic adjustment that empties the gall duct area, - gently but decisively.

8. The next week follow the same procedure, you see, - and continue in this manner for at least three or four series.

9. Doing these, - with the precautions as to the diet, as to the general activity, - we will keep down this numbness and cause better circulation through the central nervous system, AND the blood supply of a normal reacting between heart, liver and lungs.

10. Do these, if we would bring the better conditions for this body.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Is Dr. E. M. Stafford, 529 Corcoran St., alright for the osteopathic treatments? (A) If he will do this in the manner as was first outlined, or take those instructions from Tucker.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

I have just received your reading and shall start immediately following directions. I did not expect you would be able to do it for me quite as soon and intended asking you about the numbness in my hands, which I have had quite a little lately

• not in the daytime but wake up feeling numb. However you [evidently?] saw it, for you spoke of it. Thank you so very much.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

I have received and read with much interest the bulletins which you recently sent me.

Possibly you know that I was associated with Dr. A. R. Tucker in Raleigh for three years before I came to Durham in 1934. While there I treated several patients for whom you had held readings. I am also planning to treat Mrs. [1810] concerning whose case you sent me a copy of your findings.

Your work, as described in the bulletins, seems very interesting and I shall be glad to receive more information in the future.

R3. 2/16/42 EC’s letter to Dr. Stafford:

Dear Dr. Stafford;-

Thank you for yours of the 14th - no had only just recently heard you had been associated with Dr. Tucker. While never met Dr. Tucker personally, have had some very interesting correspondence with him. He does some fine work am sure.

Glad you will have Mrs. [1810]. Be glad to hear from you regards her case if any questions should arise. We have quite a number of case reports Dr. that might be of interest to you. Of course they cover many kinds of conditions - such as Intestine fever - Strep infection - epilepsy - appendicitis and the like if you would like to see any of these would be glad to send them to you. Under separate cover sending a booklet hope you find of interest.

Thank you very much for your letter of February 16. I have enjoyed reading the booklet which you sent me, and should be very glad to receive several of your case reports, if it would not be too much trouble to send them to me. I am particularly interested in hearing about your work with epilepsy, and also if you have any records of cases with gastric hyperacidity, I should be glad to receive them. Do not inconvenience yourself too much to send these to me.

R6. 9/10/43 [1810]‘s letter:

Would like to know the condition of the gall bladder, though it has given me no trouble.

We have hereditary deafness in my family. My grandmother then was almost stone deaf and my mother and uncle almost as bad.

My hearing has never been as acute as most peoples, and for many years, have been able to hear very little in the left ear. Lately, it has seemed to me that I am not hearing as well in the right one. What is causing this, and is there anything I can do.
