This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of February, 1939, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. […] new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [1620].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 3:25 to 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Now, as we find, this wasting away of tissue keeps the body from gaining; because of the inability of the assimilating forces to recreate or to produce that vital force necessary not only as the combative element in this wasting through the condition which exists in bronchi and part of lungs but this inability for coagulation and for the building of resistance.

  3. These as we find arise from those infectious forces which have attacked this portion of the body, from cold, congestion, and then the dreaded conditions as produce this wasting away.

  4. As we find, the temperature and the condition of the system are such that the activity of the system is reduced to great disturbance; yet these are POSITIVE and not negative forces as yet to the bringing or producing recuperative forces for the body.

  5. These as we find, if they would be applied consistently, would bring those conditions and environs which would make for the better ability of the body to have those recuperative activities in the system:

  6. First, we would use those inhalations from Pure Apple Brandy. Obtain an oak keg, charred inside. To the small keg add about a quart to half a gallon of Pure Apple Brandy (depending on the size container or keg used, see?). Have two openings in the upper end of the keg, after the bung is closed with the solution in same. These would be arranged so that the gases - not the fluid itself but the gases from the Brandy - may be inhaled into the throat, bronchi and lungs; by taking the smaller peg out of the hole, of course, when ready to inhale, so that there may be the circulation of air through both openings. Keep this in a warm place so that the evaporation will be sufficient to produce the fumes, though not hot - but where it will keep warm. Inhale these fumes two or three times each day, or three to four times a day; just so there is not enough to strangle or to produce too great an irritation. Inhale once or twice at the time, you see, into the throat AND into the lungs - or through the mouth AND the throat into the lungs.

  7. We would also use Calcios as a supply to the blood system to replenish those strains made upon the structural portions, for that of strength-building force in blood stream, purifying the body by its very use. Just use sufficient to cover a small cracker, once each day.

  8. Also we would use the Acigest, that will aid in keeping the digestive forces in such a balance as to make for better assimilations; thus increasing the ability of the blood stream to make for the better body-building, better resisting forces. This should NOT be taken except in raw milk - once a day at least; half to a teaspoonful stirred in a glass of fresh raw milk, see?

  9. This would not be taken at the same time as the Calcios, you see, but one in the morning, the other in the evening, see?

  10. Then, as to the diet: Beef juices, egg with a little spirits frumenti, malted milk, and things of such natures that are body-building.

  11. Have as much rest as possible, and yet as much of the fresh air as the body may have.

  12. Do not take those foods that are of such a nature that they produce, by the very attempt of digestion greater sources of infection or of temperature; yet those that are easily assimilated taken often and in very small quantities at a times.

  13. Doing these, we will give the opportunity for the better conditions of this body.

  14. And if there is kept the mental attitude toward constructive forces, improvements and elimination of disturbances may come. But if there is a disregard of diet, or of the care, or of taking cold or producing greater congestion, then very serious complications may arise.

  15. Ready for questions

  16. (Q) Is the disturbance centered in the throat, bronchial tubes or lungs? (A) Bronchi and lungs, as we have indicated.

Do these things if we would bring the better forces for this body and give it the better opportunities.

  1. We are through for the present.
