1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which will be submitted, as I ask them. The last Reading given for the body, in the mind of the husband, did not discuss the basic trouble of the body. Please explain what is the cause and present condition of the trouble which is being observed by the physicians on the case.

2. EC: Yes - [1826].

3. As has been indicated, when there is the observing of those sources or causes for these disturbances, or such applications as we have indicated, there would be much more easily determined as to the sources or causes of those conditions which arise from the digestive forces and inactivity of those influences between the circulatory forces and the eliminations.

4. But those that are being indicated for the body in the present, if it is desired, keep. But as we find, if those applications which we have indicated would be made for the body, there would be found much better responses.

5. (Q) What is the nature of the present condition or trouble? (A) Do they want the nature of the condition for a scientific source, or do they want the body to get well! They can choose between these. Which do you chose?

6. (Q) The husband is seeking help - (A) (Interrupting) Then do what has been indicated, if you would find and give that which will bring the better influences and forces for this body!

That there are other indications of those forces that arise from those conditions which exist in the digestive forces, through those conditions as indicated, is a lack of those influences through the sources which we have indicated for this body.

Do that, if they would bring the better forces for this body, [1826].

Dear Mr. […]

From what they tell me am still not pleased with the information we have gotten for Miss [1826] - especially after a dream had about you this morning - of course if one were to ask me if I believed in dreams - would possibly say NO - yet am sure they have a bearing on ones life. Please know can we possibly be of help don’t hesitate to call on us. Are there any special questions or conditions you might ask about will be glad to try again. Seems tho it insists that were you to give the suggestion a trial would have developments that would help.

Will be glad to hear from you regards this. Please remember me very kindly to Miss [1826].

R2. 3/19/39 (Sunday) [1826]‘s husband’s letter to EC:

Mr. Edgar Cayce: Virginia Beach, Va.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Your letter of March 13th indicating interest in Mrs. [1826] was received with appreciation. The check reading was delivered yesterday. I have read it several times, but, I either do not understand the language of the replies or their intention. They seem vague and not a response to the questions in the first paragraph and Q1 of this last reading.

I am sure, as stated to your son Hugh Lynn, that conditions, physical not scientific, exists that are vitally more important than any your reading has touched upon, vital for necessary treatment of some kind. You know I have had the opportunity of seeing numerous readings given by you, all the others appear to me, to be more specific, definitely pointing to a condition and cause.

I am also sure that following the suggestion would not correct the major cause for suffering. I regret to write these opinions or assertions, but feel that you would prefer an honest statement, to simple silence.

R3. 3/21/39 EC’s letter to Mrs. [1826]‘s Husband:

Dear Mr. […]

Thanks for yours of the 19th - of course there is little for me to say, but am sincerely interested as to finding out if possible what has caused the conditions that have arisen regards Miss [1826]. Would you give me a history of her case thus far - and then let me try and check with reading again or had you rather let it rest where it is. But from past experiences in hundreds of cases yes thousands of them am not personally satisfied to let it stop here. Especially where it involves someone that have thought as much of as of you and your wife - remember I made the photos when you were married - true they were not the best for they were flash light. But knowing you all as have and then the experience with others you have referred to me. Would like to know more of reason why this has occurred if possible.

To be sure would not wish you to stretch a point in favor of the work even were it involving some total stranger and certainly not under the conditions. Please know I only wish to help - and most of all not fool myself or anyone else.

Hoping to hear from you that Miss [1826] is getting along fine.

R4. 3/21/89 [1826]‘s Husband’s letter to EC:

Mr. Edgar Cayce, Virginia Beach Virginia

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Had I received your letter of March 17th, my recent letter to you would have been quite different; not because the facts are otherwise or that my opinion is different but I would have asked you some direct questions.

However, the last reading showed that Mrs. Cayce asked direct questions which did not receive a direct or explanatory answer.

However, I will enumerate the conditions now existing to which I would like to have answers:

#1: The cause and condition at present of the blood.

#2: How to improve the blood condition of [1826] and to give more strength to the body. #3: The cause of the blood condition and the weakness that has prevailed over many weeks. #4: If the pain you refer to in the original reading in the leg and elsewhere will be permanently cured and how. #5: If there is any way to prevent or relieve the nausea and vomiting which has persisted for many weeks.

These are important phases of the suffering. I assure you that your willingness to manifest continued interest and concern about Mrs. [1628] has both her and my appreciation.
