Time of Reading 11:40 to 11:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes - we have those impressions and those conditions which exist mentally and materially from same, [1858].
-
Now as we find, while the conditions which disturb the body are severe and it will require a great deal of fortitude as well as patience and persistence, this need NOT be hopeless!
-
It is true that the astrological aspects may be in a position at variance, while the constitutional condition is also against the better interests.
-
But the hope, the faith in the Creative Forces if kept alive, and if there are those administrations in a manner that will aid the system to readjust itself from those disturbing factors that have gradually caused this disturbance with the eyes, - from poisons in system as well as the deflection of activities to the optic forces, and the inflammatory forces through portions even of the eye itself, - these may be materially aided.
-
First, to be sure, the teeth and throat MUST be given local attention.
-
Then, after the body has recuperated a bit - some eight to ten days after these measures; keeping the body quiet, of course, and in not too strong a light, and not too much of worry - we would THEN have corrections made osteopathically from the 6th and 7th dorsal to the 1st cervical.
-
Three such adjustments would be made each week, or every other day, or every third day. This should be sufficient for the reactions to take place from the corrections needed.
-
After there have been at least three such osteopathic adjustments made, THEN we would begin with the low electrical forces as may be applied that stimulate the whole of the nerves as well as the connecting forces between optic centers AND the cerebrospinal system centers from which impulses arise for optic activity. These would be administered under the directions of such an one as Erlanger [Gustav Erlanger, M.D.]. The frequency of these would be determined by the one under whose supervision they are given, you see. As we find, in the beginning they will be of short duration and rather close together, while a little later they may be given farther apart and of longer duration.
-
These, as we find, if they will be consistently kept, and keeping that attitude of prayer, of meditation, of the LIFE and its purposes being in accord with that as may be a helpful influence to others, we may bring the better conditions for this body of [1858].
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What is condition of throat and just what treatment is needed? (A) To allay those infectious forces from the teeth, eyes and head.
-
(Q) What treatment would you suggest for this? (A) This will be a swabbing, and in some instances possibly necessary for cauterizing. But this under the direction, of course, of an optician or a throat specialist.
-
(Q) What is needed to be done to teeth? (A) Some will necessarily have to be extracted; others will need local attention.
Do these, if we would bring the better forces for this body.
- We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 4/4/39 Mrs. [1602]‘s ltr.: “I forgot to put in her questions.”
Questions for Mrs. [1858]:
- Glaucoma has set in & my left eye is completely blind - Can anything be done for it or for the right eye which is fast approaching the same condition?
- What is the cause & treatment of this?
- I am told all but a few of my teeth must be removed
- Is this necessary? If not what do you suggest?
- If the teeth should be removed, hospitalization is recommended with a general anesthetic - would this be advisable for me in my condition?
- Are there any suggestions for my general physical condition?
- Shall I ever be able to work again - If so - when?
- Are there any directions you can give me for my well-being -
P.S. Will you send me a copy of the Reading - at the same time? & Is it possible to ask one question NOT to be put on her copy? (because she does not know about this angle
- she hasn’t a penny in the world -) Dr. Van Rumpt [Richard Van Rumpt, N.D.] will treat her “gratis” if his type of treatment is recommended -
Question:
- If manipulation is suggested as a method of treatment - Would Dr. Van Rumpt be able to do the work?
Thanks! [1602]
