This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of May, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1870], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended and sponsored by Mr. & Mrs. [1095] & [1894] & Mr. [257].

1. EC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief for this body; answering the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. Now as we find, the conditions that are the cause of the disturbance are very well understood.

4. The breaking down of the nervous energies, and the inability of the locomotory reactions to be normal, comes from the infectious forces that are understood, that are attacking the vital energies, disturbing the circulation to be sure, causing the agitans as it reflects in the locomotory centers. It involves, of course, the assimilating system and the nervous forces of the body, - through their inability to produce, through that assimilated, the proper stamina in the nerve forces.

5. Those applications which are being made, as we find, are very well.

6. However, as a part of the applications - to assist in the forces active upon the digestive system, and through same aiding the vital energies to supply through the glandular forces we would add the Valentine’s Beef Extract, - or Liver Extract, preferably. A small quantity of this we would take at least twice each day; three-fourths of a teaspoonful should be sufficient.

7. Also we would add those vibratory forces through low electrical applications of a static nature, or the low electrical vibratory forces carrying both Chloride of Gold AND Spirits of Camphor; one used one day, the other the next day.

8. The first day, the Gold Solution would be used - in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water. The attachments would be made as follows: The small copper plate would be attached to the 4th lumbar center, while the larger nickel plate (through which the Gold Solution passes) would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct center, or - on this body - four fingers from the umbilical plexus to the right, see?

9. The next day, the Camphor Solution would be used - commercial strength Spirits of Camphor (and use different solution jars for these, to be sure). The small copper plate would be attached to the 9th dorsal plexus, and the larger nickel plate, through which the Camphor Solution passes, would be attached to the umbilical plexus the same as when using the Gold Solution.

10. Alternate these attachments each day, in this manner; letting the attachments remain for thirty minutes.

11. Recharge the Appliance, of course, every thirty days. The Gold and Camphor Solutions would be changed every fifteen days.

12. Each day following the use of the Appliance, we would give the body a gentle massage with an equal combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil. Massage all the body will absorb of this, especially over the lumbar and sacral areas, - of course, the whole of the cerebrospinal system, but with special reference to the areas through which the extremities receive their impulse, - that is, in the arms, in the upper brachial plexus, or through the vagus center, and the lumbar and sacral areas specifically.

13. Keep up the rest of the applications that are being and have been made, in the order indicated.

14. Do these, and as we find we may bring much nearer and much better abilities for activity for this body of [1870].

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) How can we aid him to have confidence in his recovery, and assist him to get his health back? (A) Only give confidence through the stimulating of the activities of the body in the directions which have been indicated.

17. (Q) What diet should he have? (A) Those foods that are easily assimilated, but that are blood and nerve building. These that have been outlined are very well, and the addition of those properties indicated would be helpful.

18. (Q) What exercise? (A) This will depend very much upon the attitude of the body itself. Not a great deal, but some every day.

19. (Q) What advice can be given to give him confidence in being able to recover? (A) Only that as we have indicated, - create confidence through stimulating the activity for the mental and physical body.

20. (Q) How long should this treatment be kept up? (A) Until at least the second or third charge of the Appliance itself.

21. (Q) If treatments are followed, how soon should results be seen? (A) We should find a great deal of improvement before the first thirty days have passed, if there are the proper reactions and the proper attitude.

Do that, as has been indicated for this body.

Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Va.

Dear Judge:

You will remember about a year ago last January you gave a Reading for [1095], out at his hotel in Chicago during the furniture market. This [1870] is one of his store managers and Mr. [1095] has requested a Reading on him. Send the Reading, plus a bill for $20.00 to Mr. [1095] c/o the … Stores, …, Mass.

Please give a complete physical diagnosis of the body giving all the conditions that you find in the system and advise him to produce a complete normal condition of the entire body.

B2. 6/24/37 EC’s ltr. to [1870]:

Dear Sir;-

Am in receipt of a application of yours to membership to the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., with request for a psychic reading on you, this comes from our friend Mr. [257] and Mr. [1095] do you wish this reading?

If so we can make the appointment for the morning of July the 8th 10.30 to 11.30 Eastern Standard Time. Please verify this appointment if you desire the reading and tell us where you will be at that hour and please keep the appointment by remaining quiet and in a prayerful frame of mind at that time.

Of course we will not undertake this unless we have a verification from you and are there any special question you would like to ask at the time make note of same.

B3. 2/18/39 Mrs. [1894]‘s letter: ”…Am also attaching a second application for one of my husband’s employees who has been very loyal and faithful to him for a number of years. We are very anxious to save this man if we can. We believe that the only hope is in you, after hearing of the marvelous things that you have done for a good many others. Will you be good enough to set this date, and notify me, as the party cannot take care of himself and we are his closest friends as well as employers. I have attached a list of questions to this case which I wish you would answer after you have given the general physical…”

Will you please tell us what is the cause of his condition and what we can do to help him regain his equilibrium and get his health back, if that is possible, giving full information.

#1 What is the next step to aid this man’s condition. #2 Is the present treatment being given, sufficient to restore him to health, or can treatment be changed under the directions of someone else. #3 Where is the best place for this man to go for the treatment. #4 How long will it take to restore his health if it can be restored. #5 How can we aid him to have confidence in his recovery, and assist him to get his health back. #6 What diet should he have. #7 What exercise should he have. #8 What other advice can be given to give him confidence in being able to recover. #9 Will a complete recovery be effected if above treatments are followed.
