1. EC: We have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and existing as personalities in the entity now known as [1924].

2. In entering, we find the entity coming under the influence astrologically of Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune; Venus in the foreground, as it were, in its varied aspects. These influences, with the application of self in the present experience, have been altered somewhat by the application of will, that developing factor in the entity’s (as in every other entity’s) experience; for with the will those influences are made either applicable in the experience or they become altered as the influence varies with that influence in the PRESENT experience by the environment, as well as the shading of those in the innate or hereditary forces. These may be one, even as all force, power, or every spirit activity is of one source. The individuals, in their use or application of that development within themselves, build toward that union or they separate from same.

3. In this entity we find these well applied in the present experience, for in the Mercurian influence there comes the mental vision, the mental abilities to attune self in many forces that have to do both with those of the cosmic as well as a universal force. Applied with the vision in Jupiter’s influence brings for a field of endeavor and expansion that has been used in a manner as a whole development in the present experience. While those influences in the Mercurian have made for the sudden changes, the far afield conditions, altering when apparently there would be no reason, yet tempered with those influences the entity has studied those conditions that have been as stumbling stones to many and has rather made them as the stepping stones to self in gaining not only a knowledge OF but an understanding WITH the use of the influences OF such in the present.

4. In those phases in Venus is seen (as the last experience of the entity) what may be termed the ethereal forces or guides. Hence ever tempered with love as a whole, NOT as individual, not as of self or of selfish motives; neither in the manner of lording over, being beyond - but HUMBLENESS, as becometh love in its growing to the seed of development. Remember even that as of old has ever been in the entity’s experience, of “Allah - Eli - Sarcome” [?] [Eli, Eloi, lama sabacthani?], in that He gave His son through the love for His creatures.

5. In this experience we find these as personalities and as builded in the entity as of the developing forces:

One close, through the influences of self’s application of will, with that which has been builded innately, and now manifestedly that of a high mental development that may be raised in many forms and manners as aiding and abetting those who would seek to know that, not of spiritualistic, but of spirituality, in the activities of the individual, that as may be applied to their MENTAL lives or their MATERIAL bodies. Oft these have been confused by many with whom the entity has associated self, in the various surroundings and circumstances - and varied has been the entity’s experience in the present, in attempting to set SELF, as well as OTHERS, aright in this particular direction of thought, of development, of gaining an access into the Holy of Holies. Oft has the entity reached almost to that point where much may be turned back; many the visions of that as may be obtained, yet has same remained just without the reach of the entity’s grasp; and oft have those been of an UNCERTAIN nature as to when, where, how, and manner in which same may be aligned as to prevent the destructive forces that apparently come with the changes being made an active force in the entity’s experience.

7. In those abilities and influences that are builded in the entity:

Those abilities to raise the vibratory forces within self to such an extent as to be able to lead, or give healing in the mental forces and the psychic apparatus, as it were, of individuals, have succeeded beyond many of those who have studied from the lower or adverse angles. These the entity has attained through the entering in the silence, and of the comparison in the mental forces as apply to SPIRITUAL truths, as well as those of that portion within every entity’s development that takes hold upon both the material, the spiritual, the soul’s own development. In many manners will the entity gain the more in the present, will these be taken as the whole, yet - for the understanding of same, and to entrench self in those forces of each entity that may be aided - their divisions are very definite in the entity’s experience in aiding another. The soul is a portion of the whole, with that companionship of the subconscious or unconscious forces (the mind of the soul), with its spiritual companion that makes the individual entity as a portion OF the Whole, with the will that makes it so, and knowing itself to be a portion of the whole yet NOT the whole, yet retaining its identity in the whole, even as the body is made up of many members, yet one may not be called honored above the other - though those unseemly forces become that which is the more comely through the manner in which same is applied in the experience of individuals, as they study to show themselves approved unto Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, keeping self unspotted from those carnal forces that wreck the carnal mind - as to become mars or scars upon the soul itself; for the soul body must be that to which the entity may attain a consciousness that it may make itself one with the whole, that creative energy called nature, God, Allah, Abba [Abbas?], Baali [Babi?], in which keeping self in accord, that those who run may read, or avoiding even the appearance of contention, discussion, that as makes MEN’S minds afraid. “Be not afraid, it is I”, He hath said - and when in that companionship that is brought through the entrance into the unseen (the unmindful by many), these unseen forces become the powers which rule in EVERY place.

9. In the appearances and the effect these have had, do have, upon the present experience of the entity:

10. In the one before this we find in that land now known as England, and in the name Doorn - and a companion with Charlemagne in the entrance into the land where those rebelled against the Holy One. The entity was the companion and aide in this entrance into the land, and partook and knew much of those conditions that made for the changes in individuals, peoples, masses, groups, lives, by the varied associations of being in a direct contrast with the various forces that made that of an unapplicable force in love. Hence the choosing of self, in the passing, to enter into that force as of Venus, where love of a nature becomes an UNDERSTANDING - in an UNMINDFUL manner - as known in earth’s or carnal experiences. In the present much has been gained by the entity in the application of the introspection experiences of self, through these varied experiences in the many lands the entity in that experience VISITED, studied, aided - not always as a mental teacher; more often as the master over many, yet the mental forces being the development through the experience, and in the present much of the vision may be gained by self into the inmost forces of individuals as to their experiences - whether through the revelation (as it may be expressed) brought in dream or visions, or of the forces in life, these give the entity that ability to classify that which troubles the heart, the soul, the inmost forces of those the entity contacts.

11. In the one before this we find in that period when there were the many divisions in the land now known as Palestine, or the Promised Land, during that period when the Master walked in the land. The entity was then among those TO whom the entity came, of Him, by Him, called again from the arms of that called death; being, then, the friend, the companion, of those who loved His name, who loved His manner, His way; hated of many peoples, the entity - yet set about to accomplish, under the various forces of the time, the period, the place, the circumstance, that which few accomplished that bore the name of those that WERE in the position of leaders of the peoples during the time. In this period the entity gained throughout the experience, in the associations, in the calls that were made upon the entity - either from those in places of power or those that were oppressed by those in power, or by those who would come and seek the entity’s counsel, on account of the position even occupied by the entity. Over THIS entity, and the circumstances, did even He that walked in Galilee weep. Lazarus, then, was the entity, the brother, to those whom the Lord loved. In his home, in the table, at the various functions, did the entity find the associations that have brought in the present experience those counsels, where - in places of high estate, in places of low degree, in the various sects, in the various conditions in individuals’ lives - the entity has touched that which has made a change. Some are repelled; some are drawn to - yet that light, that love, as shed through that experience, brings to the entity those abilities to lay aside much that would beset many in various experiences and GIVE them an understanding that is above EVERY name; the abilities to heal in the hands, in the mind, in the activities - whether from within or without - is the entity blessed! KEEP that committed unto thee, knowing He that called is able to keep that thou mayest commit unto Him against any experience that may come into the affairs of an individual, whether as individuals, groups, classes or masses. He is the way. He is the intercessor through which all approach the throne, whether of grace, of power, of love, of understanding, and THROUGH Him that may be accomplished that may NOT be accomplished through any other name. [11/10/30 Rdg. 295-2, Par. 30-A had given that Lazarus was back in the earth this time.]

12. In the one before this we find in that land known now as Egypt, during that period when there were divisions through the changes wrought by the priest who was banished in exile. The entity was then among those who came in from that now known as the Assyrian country, and brought many that became leaders in that builded up by the People when there was the return to the study of the relationships of individuals TO individuals, and of individuals’ relationship to the whole or to the Creative Energy. MUCH of that as was compiled by the entity became the ritual in that later known as the Book of the Dead, as well as of those who - in the lower portions of that land - later separated themselves and became a separate kingdom. The entity remained true throughout that period, becoming close companion to the entity or priest, raised to the position of interpreter to those who came from foreign lands, to those who were sent as emissaries to gather the news of that as gained. The entity then went as the representatives, in the latter days, passing from the stage of activity in the far land known now as the Mongolian. In this the entity gained through the application of the knowledge attained, gained, and understood. In the name Ra-El-La. Hence in many of the divisions of these may there be found that a portion of those given by the entity in the experience, SEPARATED, found lodgements in the minds of various groups. Not that the entity set same as to make divisions, but as being comprehensive of the whole. INDIVIDUALS sought to separate same, and some to their own undoing. In the present, the lands of that country, the understandings of those peoples - those of the occidental and oriental of many lands - become that which the entity, using as the footstool - gaining in the knowledge of that attained through Him - reaches into the higher climes. Let not thine feet be turned to clay, or thine hands to brass - but keep thine whole being in a manner as becometh Ra-El-La in Egypt.

13. In the one before this we find in that land known as Poseida, during those periods when man used all the forces in nature in the applying of same, whether to material forces or to mental. The entity was then among those of the rulers in the land, in the name Asmeelidkon. In this experience the entity lost AND gained, for turning much of that understood of the nightside to those of secular forces in the experience brought much that was misunderstood. In the latter portion of the experience the entity gained in the attempt to set about an equalization of the forces as applied in the land, yet these brought remorse, consternation, trouble, and unknown desires. In the present much of these are of the consternation, for doesn’t the entity become the wanderer upon the earth? yet in many lands, in many places, may that as gained in the Promised Land, or in Galilee and at Bethany, may the entity find that, that which is sought may be found; found, may be applied; in the applying may the entity gain that of THIS world and in the worlds to come, that of a knowledge and understanding that may be surpassed by few.

14. In the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain:

15. Tie thine self to that call, “Come forth, DO my biddings. He that loveth me keepeth my commandments, and I will come and dwell with thee, and that thou asketh in my name that thou shalt have, believing.”

16. KEEP that committed. Keep that thou hast set thine hand to do; for MUCH may be accomplished in this - thine day. Ready for questions. We are through.

R1. GD’s note: Dr. [1924] spent the evening with us and held us spellbound by relating his many experiences in which he had been miraculously saved from violent death in this life. His experiences had led him to believe that no one dies until his time comes, no matter what.

We put him in touch with Miss [295] who had been told in her Life Rdg. that she was Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus. They met and later corresponded.

R2. 4/8/31 [1924]‘s letter to EC:

My dear Mr. Cayce:

I was very glad to receive your last letter sometime ago, and I sincerely wish that your good work may continue as before. When you have some time I would like to know the outcome of the last meeting.

By the way once you told me that you received some suggestions as to the healing of cancer. If you have no objection I would like to know about it, so that I can try it on some suffering from it.

As to the applications for cancerous conditions, I shall be very glad to send you some of the compounds. We have found that usually there are different instructions for different kinds. If you will give us a general outline of the condition, and the character of the condition for which you wish to make the application, we will look up this information and send it to you for a trial.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

Your kind letter received here the other day. Many thanks. Glad you are getting along nicely; I sincerely wish you happiness and success.

Well, I am still here, and The Voice says to be quiet and still, and keep the Freedom. We have been quite busy this summer. I am passing on your message to those who need it.

R6. 12/1/31 EC’s letter to [1924]:

Dear Dr. [1924]:

We did indeed appreciate your letter in reply to our wire, while we were in New York. After having met and talked with Mrs. [2135], whom I’m sure you remember very well - and who gives you credit for making life at least livable and some- what worthwhile to her - and also our desire to see you - we were prompted to send you the wire. No doubt you have seen considerable in the papers regarding the little unpleasant- ness which occurred while we were there. I am more than anxious to know your reaction to it. We have tried to analyze the situations (but we are asking for your opinion also), and it seems this was one of the necessary things in our experience that we might not only know who are our friends in that city, but that we might have an opportunity to stand justified before the man made laws as respecting the work we are doing. Also such persecutions are bound to draw the line between those who are lukewarm and those who have seen a vision, or who feel that through such a channel they may gain help, aid and confidence in their own well-being. What do you think of this for an analysis?

I also had the opportunity while in New York at this time to be rather closely associated with Dr. Bisey [Dr. Sunkar A. Bisey, D.Sc., F.S.Sc. (London), President British Atomidine Co.], whom I mentioned to you before, who is a native of India, a scientific investigator, and a man who has been in this country several years - spent twelve or fourteen years in England - and is doing some very good work; not as a healer or a lecturer, but rather in the scientific field. I was anxious for you two to be brought together, as seemingly both of you have felt that I - at least - am sincere (which I feel I am) in my undertakings, and that a great deal of good may come to those who seek information through these channels, who will make a sincere approach. Possibly this meeting can be arranged at another time. I hope so.

R7. 12/9/31 [1924]‘s letter to EC:

Dear friend Cayce:

Your kind and welcome letter received the other day. Yes, I read something about that in the papers, but that didn’t disturb me in the least. I am used to these kind of things - for, that is the way of progress, enlightenment, truth. All these have to pass through the chastening fire first. So, please, rest assured, for, in the Spirit all is well. I think, this helped you in the way of publicity. “It is an ill wind that blows nobody good.” So, continue your good work - more Power to you. My message to you is “Peace I live with you. My Peace I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.”

In a few days I will leave here eastwards on my well-earned vacation, for I worked pretty hard all these days, and will need quiet and rest for sometime.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

Your last letter caught me here after all, and I am so sorry that I have missed this pleasure of meeting you. I left N.J. about four months ago, and was at … again for awhile, till the Fates brought me here about a month ago. I hope you do good business while in N.Y.

I don’t know whether you have been here or not, but it’s a great education to visit it, and I thank the Father for this opportunity and privilege. I won’t be here long now, and may go south perhaps…

Please, remember me to our friends, and take good care of yourself, and drop me a line now and then, as I am always glad to hear from you any time.

R12. 12/12/33 EC’s letter to [1924]:

Dear Dr. [1924]:

Yours of the 1st came to me while we were in New York. I’m very sorry not to have seen you again, but certainly hope you enjoyed your stay while in Chicago. Possibly you are there yet, I don’t know, as you did not say just when you expected to leave.

Our stay in New York was prolonged considerably. We had expected to be there only two weeks, and stayed four. I presume we could have stayed on quite a bit longer, as possibly more interest was shown in the work of the organization this time than at any other previous visit.

I myself did not get to visit the Century of Progress. My boys, with a group of Scouts, were there during the summer. They gave a very wonderful report of the Fair.

Be sure and let us hear from you whenever you have the opportunity. We are always glad to hear from you. We will be back in New York again about the middle of January, as we are supposed to have a joint meeting of our Association members with the members of the American Society for Psychical Research, at which time we will present the work our Association is doing. If possible, I hope we may meet you at that time - if you are back in that vicinity.

I thank you ever so much for your kind remembrance of me now and then via some interesting circulars of your good father’s work. Due to want of time and some pressing duties I couldn’t write to you earlier; and I apologize for this evident neglect. However, as you know already, I am in perfect harmony with your work, and wish you all success and happiness from the bottom of my heart.
