This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 6th day of August, 1930, in accordance with request made by his brother, Mr. [P…].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions as surround same, [193]. The strength and vitality of the body are VERY low. Unless there may be given that as will make some response for the vital forces, as will prevent the continued changing of the blood supply to that of the tendencies toward creation of inflammation, and reduction of temperature in same, little may be accomplished in this experience.

2. As WE will find in the present, we would not alter medicinal properties in the present, but we would change somewhat as to the diet.

3. This may only be accomplished, as we find, with the reduction of the temperature also in the system. This, we find, may be accomplished with more of the use of the rub alcohol, or with the BATHING of the body we would add those of tincture of myrrh and olive oil along the spine. ESPECIALLY would this be from the lumbar regions to the head. This rubbed, to be sure, into the spine - so that the strength and the vitality may be gained.

4. In the diets, we would prepare more of that of the beef JUICES, and of the blood puddings, or of such nature, that will give the more strength.

5. Then, in three to five days, should there be the response with this, we may give those additions in blood itself to the system, as to meet the needs, THROUGH that of TRANSFUSIONS. These may aid, will the system respond first to those as of strength building. Do that.

6. We would give VERY small quantities of the beef juice: NONE of the flesh itself, but of the juices. Just sips, every half to three-quarters of an hour. The rubs we would give at least twice each day. Then, after two of these, we may give those that will be of the more blood building. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) When should the rub alcohol be given? (A) Following the bathing of the body, to reduce the temperature. Those following immediately would be the equal parts of olive oil and tincture of myrrh. Heat the oil and add the myrrh. Use at least a tablespoonful of each, at each treatment, see? That should be at least twice each day, both as to the bath and as to the rub.

8. (Q) What is the cause of the trouble? (A) That of the changing of the blood, or of streptococci. [Leukemia?]

9. (Q) What produced this condition? (A) Infection. That IS infection in itself, throughout the system. It’s become of an acute nature.

10. We are through for the present.
