This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Sun Air Farm, Oak Ridge, N.J., this 5th day of November, 1934, in accordance with request made by the wife, Mrs. [778], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading Box 187, 6:10 to 6:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Atlanta, Ga.

1. HLC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1932] who lives in …, Ga., for whom information was given through these sources last Friday, Nov. 2, 1934. As he has been threatened unjust dismissal from present job, should he send letter of protest to General Manager of Company in New Jersey, exposing local office manager’s threats and tactics? Would such a letter help him retain his job? You will give any advice or guidance that would be of help to him at his time.

2. EC: Yes, we have those conditions that confront the body in the present.

3. As we find, while these conditions assume rather alarming proportions in the beginning, there are those experiences and surroundings that do not bespeak of such drastic changes in the present.

4. Then, if there are the abilities of the body to adjust the conditions WITHOUT appealing to those higher up or in higher authority, then we would settle same. But in the light of those things, should it seem or appear necessary, then be well for this to be done in decency and in order; not railing; not in a manner of detrimental outtake on anyone, but rather that which would be consistent with good judgements as respecting the general situation.

5. (Q) Any other advice for his guidance at this time? (A) As we find, these are the conditions as regarding that being sought; remembering, as we mete it is measured to us again.

My dear Mr Cayce,

I hardly know how to thank you for all you have been doing for me and mine lately. I do appreciate it from my heart and hope you will not fail to call on me for any service I can render you at any time. [1932] was delighted with his reading which was so much clearer than the first Life Reading in respect to the French Consul and the perfumery business. Funny that my friend [274] should be a Frenchman in this same business. [1932] is going to call on the French Consul here soon; he has been working at work or law school until late each night lately.

We had a most remarkable demonstration tonight of the good law and of your own powers, for, after giving my husband formal notice of dismissal, his boss phoned him tonight and apologized. Can you beat it? The boss drinks and hardly knows what he is doing half the time, but my husband stands well with the big boss in Jersey. We had a letter all written to send to the big boss when the local boss phoned tonight, so will not have to send the letter after all. I had utmost faith that things would come out all right but my husband was pessimistic and certainly had the best of logical grounds to feel so. Logic! My husband’s chart is terribly afflicted at the present time but old Jupiter “the preserver” is highest planet in the chart and stands by in emergencies.

If there was any charge for forwarding my wires to you from Va. Beach to New Jersey, please let me know immediately. I was sorry that our tale of woe had to follow you on your trip to Sun Air Farm. I see that Hugh Lynn is your new conductor, or has he done this work before? I am sure he is a good one.

Thank you so much for your offer to let me use your Study Group as sort of headquarters during my stay in Washington. It so happens that the Fellowship which publishes East-West has a Center in Washington and my trip will be for the purpose of lecturing at that Center, so I will not need any other headquarters but I was pleased with the generous thought and I do want to meet your friends. I suppose it will be Jan or Feb before things are straightened out enough here for me to go to Wash. but before I go I would like those Wash. names and addresses of your group and will mail them invitations to my astrology lectures. Next time you go to Washington please mail a card to Mrs. [812], Wash DC as she has read your pamphlet and is so much interested in your work. I am going to stay at her house when I go to Wash; otherwise could hardly afford to go. We have been friends for many years, and I would like you to know her.
