GC: You will answer the following questions relative to this body, as I ask them, and when you are through with the questions you will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, also suggestions for the treatment for the cure and relief for this body.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
-
(Q) Are the tonsils affected? (A) They are, and affect the system much as has been given, though more at the present time than when we last had the condition here.
-
(Q) If the tonsils are removed, would it assist in restoring the hearing? (A) Yes, if removed properly, it would, for with this we would break many of the lesions that hinder the circulation in this portion of the body.
-
(Q) What osteopathic treatment should be given for clearing up deafness, and how often should be given? (A) When the tonsils have been removed, and the body is kept in shape by the general osteopathic treatments, then the lesions along the Eustachian tubes must be broken, you see, and allow the circulation to renew the condition necessary to equalize the balance in central portion of ear. These must be given [the osteopathic treatments] at least every other day, until five to seven are given, and then every third day until sixteen in all are given. By the time the seventh to eighth is given, we will see the change in the hearing.
-
(Q) That is all the questions. [On tonsils and deafness] Now you will give the physical conditions of the body at the present time, with suggestions for the treatment for the relief and cure for same. (A) With the change as would be accorded the body the conditions through the digestive tract and the vital forces that re-create the rebuilding tissue and cellular forces in the body, we would find these conditions would be materially benefited and assisted. We would follow out these conditions by the general treatment over the system, when the specific or special treatments are given, and we will bring the whole body to the equal balance.
Do that.
-
(Q) How should this osteopathic treatment be given? (A) Over the whole system. As will be seen, it will be necessary to stimulate all of the emunctory system, especially in the upper hepatic, and the digestive circulation, that all drosses from the body would be removed through their proper channel, forming better metabolism throughout the body, for with the poisons forming, as has been given before, in digestive system, this produced from the lack of equalization in circulation. Then give the vibrations osteopathically that equalize the circulation, with the local conditions in the throat and sensory system, stimulating all centers to the sensory system, but equalizing same.
-
Do that. We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 11/11/24 EC’s letter to Mr. [900]: “My friend Mr. [195], whom you perhaps remember, as you met him here, had another rdg. for himself Friday evening. It was found necessary that he have an operation on his throat - tonsils. This was performed this morning. The doctor tells me that he found the conditions just about as the rdg. had described, and that he thinks he is getting along fine and feels positive he’s going to be benefited by the treatments as outlined.”
R2. 1/7/25 EC’s letter to Mr. [779]: “I have a friend here Mr. [195] on whom we gave a rdg. some time ago and told him about his condition of the tonsils, but told him not to take them out then, and we gave the second or third rdg., but in the last one, though he had no trouble with his tonsils, seemingly, he was told the tonsils were in an awful fix and would have to come out at once. The doctor who operated on him said he could hardly believe the rdg. when he read it and examined the man’s tonsils. When he cut into them he was just not prepared to take care of it, they were in such a bad fix; but he’s been getting along fine since.”
R3. 1/28/25 Mr. [195] and Dr. L. A. Lydic, the young osteopath associated with Dr. Wm. A. Gravett, were present, submitting questions.
