This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of August, 1930, in accordance with request made by those in charge.

Cayce Hospital Annex Time of Reading [Nurses’ home], 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. Many changes have taken place in the physical forces of the body since last we had same here, yet under much of the same stress and strain as has been before indicated, yet under different circumstances and conditions; for with the activities of the physical forces of the body, and the strains in the varied activities, physical conditions are DIFFERENT. Hence in the PRESENT condition there arises more of those conditions as present that of disorder, distress, dis-ease - not disease, but dis-ease.

2. As respecting that of the body as develops with body, this is in a near normal development, normal activities taking place; yet the BODY - with rest, with manipulations as will EASE the body, through the relaxing of those nerve tensions as exist in the upper dorsal and cervical, will make for the bettered conditions of the body, and more equalize the circulation, and prevent those conditions in the feet, and relieving the pressure on kidneys.

3. This will necessitate that care be taken as respecting the proper eliminations through alimentary canal, and that there be the proper balance kept as to the diet, and as to the ALKALIN reactions for system. Do that.

4. Best, as we find, that this be accomplished through massage and manipulations, with the proper CORRECTIVE measures as will be found necessary in the 8th and 9th dorsal area. Ready for questions.

5. (Q) How often osteopathic treatments? (A) About twice each week, until the body is thoroughly relaxed.

6. (Q) What attention should teeth have? (A) These need some local attention, but most care should be taken as respecting the gums.

R1. 9/5/30 Mrs. [199] returned home feeling much improved.

R2. 11/12/30 A baby girl was born.

R3. 4/21/33 She had a baby son, her fourth child.

R4. 10/18/41 She obtained 2605-1 for the fourth child.

R5. GD’s note: In 1945, I believe it was, we heard that she had another son, her fifth child. Sometime later she had a hysterectomy, as the doctors found her womb was “rotten”; it gave way with the last child and could not be repaired.

R6. 8/6/60 She wrote that a routine chest x-ray showed a shadow, which led to other tests, and she was put in a T.B. hospital for rest and treatment: “I’ve worried about cancer and other ailments, but never had any fear of T.B.; always been so careful of my health, diet, etc.”

R7. 8/13/60 She wrote that she might have contracted the T.B. germ from her brother, [391], who visited her for several weeks and thought he was negative.

R8. 9/30/70 She wrote indicating that she had been in good health for years now and was enjoying life, visiting with her children and grandchildren scattered over several States. The father of her children had died in 8/48; she remarried in 3/57 a widower who had been very good to her; he is now retired and they enjoy traveling.

B2. 8/1/30 Her mother, Mrs. [1187] wrote that [199] was in her sixth month of pregnancy and was not getting on so well. She was arranging to take care of the two children and the husband so that Mrs. [199] could come to Cayce Hospital to be treated.
