This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of September, 1939, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Dr. W. D. Taylor.

At home in the Time of Reading country, Mendham, 10:50 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. N.J., 7 mi. W. of Morristown.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: (“Yes - it’s a stream place,” given in undertone - sounded like “stream.”)

3. Yes, we have those conditions, those anxieties regarding this body, [1994].

4. As we find, the disturbances that cause the irrational activities - at times - as may be termed - arise from influences and forces that produce incoordination, or prevent the coordination between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic impulse.

5. Hence we have these periods, and these activities which cause the disturbances to the emotions as well as the impulses of activity between the coordinant forces of the system.

6. As we find, through the lacteal duct center, this is affecting the activities of the glands in the pineal as well as the genital system, and in the ORGANS of the body.

7. Here we have a lesion - in the lacteal duct center.

8. This is a combination of disturbances, then.

9. As we find, the applications would be made in this manner:

10. We would apply heavy Castor Oil Packs over the lacteal duct and liver and caecum area, for periods of at least an hour each day for two to three days, - leave off two to three days, and then apply again - and so on.

11. And after each of these applications (on the days they are given, you see), we would gently but thoroughly massage the area, - especially just below the liver and gall duct, and extending to the caecum area on this right side. This would be done thoroughly, or in the nature as to break up these; making the corrections in the coccyx, the sacral AND in the lumbar axis, as well as in the 10th and 11th dorsal centers. These massages and corrections would be done in a neuropathic manner, or in the nature to break up these lesions.

12. Then, as to the diets, - we find it will be necessary to keep away from those things that tend to produce any form of constipation, or those that are hard upon the activity of the ducts as related to the digestive forces of fats. Hence these should be eliminated from the diet.

13. The vegetables as well as the character of meats or flesh (if any meat is taken) would be those easily assimilated, and that build for the removing of tissue that may become involved, or has already been involved in producing strain or forming what is similar to scar tissue in the LYMPH circulation.

14. It may be necessary to repeat the Castor Oil Packs some six to eight times, or series. And after each application, whether in two or three day series, have the manipulations AND the corrections after each of these.

15. Do this and we will find we offer the better advantageous corrections for this body, [1994].

R1. 10/18/39 Mother’s letter to EC:

“Thank you so much for your reading of [1994]. I should have replied sooner but my darling mother’s death put all thought of letters away from me.

“[1994] was born as you know in Egypt and I was full of albumin before his birth and he was a 30 hr. & instrumental delivery weighed only five pounds and extremely emaciated. Third day almost died and was fed with tubes - & not moved from cot for 2 weeks. Then cried again. Extreme difficulty with feeding - had a predigested water in all bottles. At 2 years went to Japan where vitamins in food is practically nil. At 5 1/2 commenced convulsions and has been in and out all the trip hospitals with the usual encephlagrams, one trephining etc. and drugs - until in desperation I brought him home from school in April where he had been, on account of my husband’s job abroad, and took him off the 3 1/2 gr. of drugs daily which they had seen fit to give him. During the summer he had radionics and adjustments but rapidly getting worse until we went to Dr. Taylor and got your reading. At the present time there is definite improvement, but we are almost afraid to hope too much.
