This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of April, 1929, in accordance with request made by self, through Mr. [900].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Check Physical)

  1. EC: We have the body [202]. This we have had before. Ready for questions.

  2. (Q) Am I now taking the proper treatment and adhering to the proper diet? (A) The proper diet, for the diet is very much in keeping with that as has been outlined. The administrations of the manipulations [osteopathically] are not wholly in keeping with that as has BEEN outlined. Hence the variations that have come to the body UNDER the administration of these. There is the necessity of the creating through the stimulating of organs and the centers from which organs receive their impulse in functioning, being so strengthened, or exercised in such a manner as to produce for the body the proper coordination in elimination. There is seen that that as administered does not coordinate with conditions as are affecting the pressure as created, with the activity of the liver. These should be more in accord with those conditions as has been given, and we would find better results coming to the body from same. Do that.

  3. (Q) Are my kidneys functioning properly? (A) Not PROPERLY, for there are necessary changes to be brought about in the system for the organs to be functioning properly. They are functioning properly WITH that being ADMINISTERED, and with the conditions as are changing in the physical FORCES of the body, yes - but as for a NORMAL, NOMINAL condition of the body, no! but with the proper administration and the proper diet we would FIND these coming nearer and nearer to the normal forces for this body of [202].

  4. (Q) Is there a colitis condition in my bowels? (A) More of that of an improper stimuli from the liver’s functioning for the bowel. This produced a strain on the system itself, tending to produce less amount of that NECESSARY for nominal, normal, activity of the digestive system and the elimination OF same from the system. With the proper excretions and secretions functioning from the system, and from the liver especially, we will have a disappearance of troubles as cause any disturbance through this direction.

  5. (Q) Are there any ulcers in the stomach? (A) No.

  6. (Q) Why is the body so easily tired out at the least exertion? (A) An improper equilibrium throughout the system as reference to the circulatory system, especially that condition in the liver and spleen, wherein that with the exercises, the changes of the circulatory system produce a pressure that produces that on the respiratory system, producing shortness of breath and a feeling of depletion throughout the body; tired, heaviness, dizzy at times, and an inclination to want to sit down and rest. Producing a normal equilibrium of the body, we will prevent PRESSURES from being exercised in any portion of the system. This, as has been given, is that as is causing the greater disturbance for this body, NOT a normal elimination through the various systems. Might as well ask why does the body so EASILY perspire, but feeling of cold perspiration, and so often when the body should perspire freely, none shows! This the same sort of condition existent as that that produces the tiredness in the system. One is the result of the other, or the other a result of the other, just as has been given.

  7. (Q) What correction should be made in administration of treatments? (A) As just outlined, that the EQUILIBRIUM should be established by the manipulation of centers and stimuli of centers carrying nerve energy to the various portions of the functioning of the system, as to induce PROPER coordination throughout the body, see? Where there is the necessary stimuli for the excretory functioning of the liver secretion from same, then stimulate those centers from which the radial activity of such is to function. Just as the same as that from which the radial forces of the upper or the ascending, transverse and descending colon, is to function also. These stimulations, and the relaxation and retraction in other forces, will bring about the normal reaction for body, WITH the proper diet and with the proper activities OF the body. These are to be taken, all, into consideration. One without the other will NOT bring results in ANY system, much less in this.

  8. (Q) Is there anything that I am doing that I should not do that is proving a detrimental influence to the improvement of my health? (A) Not following, nor HAVING followed by those administering, just as that as is outlined - is the greatest detriment at the present time, as we find.

  9. (Q) Any additional suggestions? (A) Do these, and there will be plenty more to do!

  10. (Q) That is all the questions. (A) Do this that has been outlined for the body, in the way and MANNER as is outlined for the body, and we will find RESULTS coming from these administrations, and we may build a long and useful life FOR the body - without the hardening, without the pressure, without the disturbances as have been seen. We are through with this reading for the present.
