This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of January, 1940, in accordance with request made by the grandmother - Mrs. […], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 1:15 to 1:25 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2028], this we have had before.

3. As we find, in some respects there are improvements; in others there have been some hindrances.

4. Yet as we find, with the changes which have come about, and with the type of resistance which has been builded in the system towards the disturbing forces, there may be taken advantage of the situation in the present for more beneficial conditions.

5. We would continue with the osteopathic manipulations, which will aid in the distribution through the ganglia along the segments of the cerebrospinal system for the better stamina.

6. And we would apply, now, the Wet Cell Appliance, - or the low electrical forces as will carry the vibrations of Gold and Camphor into the system. These solutions taken vibratorially in the present, as we find, will aid in building better resistances, as well as work with the activities which have been brought about.

7. When using the Gold Solution, the attachments would be made in this manner: The small copper plate would be attached to the 9th dorsal plexus, while the larger nickel plate, through which the vibration of the Gold Solution passes (the solution being in the proportion of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of distilled water - and have at least six ounces of the solution), would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus. This attachment would be made every other day, for thirty minutes.

8. When the vibration from the Camphor Solution is used, - the small plate would be attached to the lumbar plexus, and the larger nickel plate through which the Camphor Solution passes vibratorially (commercial strength; but using another container and not the same as used for the Gold), would be attached to the duct between the lacteal duct and the liver area, - or a distance above the lacteal duct as of the nickel plate itself. This attachment would be made every other day for thirty minutes.

9. Keep up the massages as we have previously indicated.

10. And in the diets include more now of vegetable juices, and the body-building foods as indicated.

11. Do these, as we find, for the betterment of the conditions with this body.

13. (Q) Is there some remedy for packed bowels? (A) This application which has been indicated is to aid in strengthening the activity of the eliminations; the Camphor acts as an aid in stimulating the flow of activities from all of the organs as related to these; and then the massages of the abdomen, and the irrigations given occasionally, - these should keep down this disturbance; and especially with this type of diet.

14. (Q) Are there any particular suggestions further for Dr. Hudgins? (A) As indicated, each segment along the spine is to be gently stimulated, that there may be better distribution and better stamina maintained by the activity of these properties especially of the Gold in the action through the system; aiding in the nerve stamina and to build tissue for nerve and brain reaction.

15. (Q) Should all treatments as previously suggested be continued? (A) All of those which have previously been suggested through this channel should be kept up, and the changes or additions made as here indicated.

16. (Q) Did any of her recent illnesses set her back? (A) As indicated, these have caused disturbing forces; and there have been resistances builded such that if taken advantage of by the system’s activity may be made to be helpful. It set the body back for the time being.

17. (Q) Regarding the juices of vegetables, should these be cooked or raw? (A) Some of them cooked, and some raw; especially raw carrots, celery, lettuce and the like, - these should be taken in small quantities raw, the rest cooked.

18. (Q) Is there still hope of her walking? (A) If there are the applications made, we will find that the body will be able to eventually walk.

19. (Q) Should any other change be made in diet? (A) These are the main things as we have indicated. Of course, no hog meat at any time. No beef either, save the beef juices may be given.

Do these, as we find, and if they are done consistently, we will bring better conditions for this body, [2028].

My dear Mr. Cayce:

I regret that I was unable to be with Mrs. […], when you gave [2028] her check reading, and as she has not received a copy of the reading, which I am sure has gone astray in the mail, I have been unable to arrange for her treatments with Dr. Hudgins.

You have been so very kind in this matter, I hesitate to ask that you mail her another copy, and at the same time let me have a copy of the reading. There has been such a definite improvement in her condition, for which we are deeply indebted to you. I feel that any delay to her treatments from Dr. Hudgins will prolong her recovery; therefore, I am very anxious that we continue with her treatments as soon as possible.

B1. Had improved quite a bit until she was threatened with pneumonia, and meningitis, and some kidney trouble, - fever of 103. Outside of that, she has been better. Missed two treatments from Dr. Hudgins during the time she was sick; otherwise, everything has been followed, and she made up for that by taking extra treatments when she did go back.
