-
GC: You will answer the questions regarding this body, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [2084]; this we have had before.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Has there been further improvement since last Reading? (A) In some respects, some improvement; but as we find there have been administrations of some properties which were not indicated through this channel. These have not at all times worked well with the other applications as we have suggested. For, the activities of those properties we have indicated were to stimulate portions of the system in its functioning; while those other administrations that have been made have had rather an exaggerated influence. Thus these are not altogether well.
As we find, it would be better to either follow the suggestions here indicated, consistently, or else adhere ENTIRELY to other sources of information for suggestions as might be indicated from symptoms. It is not well to combine these, unless it is indicated from here that such should be used under extreme or extenuating circumstances.
-
(Q) Should the treatment followed since her first Reading be continued or should it be varied in any way? (A) As just indicated, we would follow one or the other.
-
(Q) Approximately how long should it be before another Check Reading? (A) This would depend, to be sure, upon circumstances; and as to the choice taken respecting the character of treatments to be followed.
-
(Q) If Jerusalem artichokes go entirely out of the market here, where might they be obtained until Fall? (A) John A. Salzer Seed Company, Racine, Wisconsin.
-
(Q) Is her blood pressure too high? If so, how much? Should anything be done for it? (A) The administrations of those glandular extracts, with the other applications indicated, HAVE produced an excess in this direction. These as we find are some of those phases of the conditions that are not so well.
If those suggestions as first indicated are to be followed, as given through this channel, these as we find should - for the next six to ten weeks - be sufficient to care for the disturbances; provided the other administrations are left off, and the activities and the diets are kept in line with those suggestions first made.
-
(Q) Do you refer to the thyroid treatment which she receives? (A) As indicated, this produces the excesses of activities in the system.
-
(Q) Are frequent headaches result of kidney trouble, or from some other cause? Is it neuralgia? (A) Rather the excesses of pressures created upon the general nervous system by too great a stimulation to thyroid activity. With this left off, and with the exercise and activities watched as indicated, this pressure should come back to normal - and bring relief from headaches.
-
(Q) Is there any sign of trouble in left lower abdomen, where she recently had an attack of sharp pain? (A) This as we find was rather an acute nervous reaction, and not an organic nor functional disorder; rather a condition of a reflex nature.
-
(Q) Does heavy flushed face indicate some trouble? (A) The excess, or fastness, or pressure - all of these are indicated by this flushness.
-
(Q) How might her posture be improved? (A) Merely through suggestion or choice of the body; though this can be done better by suggestion to the body’s subconscious mind at the time of going to sleep, than by the wrangle or the causing of resentments through constantly reminding the body consciously.
-
(Q) Are such soft drinks as Coca-Cola detrimental to her? (A) Coca-Cola is not harmful; others, or some others, might be harmful. However, if the drink is prepared with the syrup added to plain and not carbonated water, it would be more beneficial.
-
(Q) Is weak iced tea harmful to her? (A) Weak tea is rather strenuous, though it may be taken at times, occasionally; provided OTHER conditions are kept more in balance.
-
(Q) Would altitude ranging from 3 to 5 thousand feet above sea level hurt her? (A) If there is the keeping up of those administrations that are to increase the rate and pressure of pulsation, this would be harmful. If these are left off, and when there has been the receding of the pressure or normalcy assumed, as to circulation, pulsation and pressure, it would NOT be harmful - unless overexercise is taken.
-
(Q) Should her teeth be straightened as soon as possible, or should it wait? (A) The sooner the better, provided it does not become as an aggravation; but rather as persuasive suggestions in this direction would be well to begin as early as possible.
-
We are through with this Reading.

R1. 11/12/40 Mr. [2841]‘s questions submitted:
QUESTIONS
Does [2084]‘s condition show any improvement or is her condition any worse? In either case please explain in what respects.
For about two months, at irregular intervals (sometimes persisting for several days) she has had roving pains of varying intensity. These have occurred at practically every point in her abdomen and as high as her stomach. At times they have been accompanied by gas and what she describes as a “feeling like an egg-beater.” As near as we can interpret this it may mean a flutter. Once she said the pain in her stomach became so severe she could hardly stand it and then seemed to suddenly spread in every direction and disappear.
What does the above indicate and are any remedies suggested?
- At times [2084] has complained of feeling “queer,” and finds it hard to explain.
She has described it sometimes as feeling “tingly.” Once or twice it has been dizziness. Once she indicated a faint feeling. Several times she has indicated an uncomfortable feeling as would result from an enema of cold water.
She has on one or two occasions displayed unaccountable nervousness bordering on fright and has tried to describe the sensation as “a feeling one would have if a gun were pointed at them.”
Recently she has complained of nausea when she first awakens. For months she has refused any breakfast except orange juice and sometimes has refused that. Only on days when we have a later breakfast does she seem to enjoy any food.
Once or twice she has had a short siege of trembling as if shivering but was not cold at the time.
The above is a long description of her various unexplained “queer” sensations but I have tried to cover them all. Please tell us what they indicate and what we should do to remedy the condition.
Her bowel action has not been as regular as it should be. What should be done to correct this? She has been taking Petrolagar when necessary. Should this be continued? What should be given her in the event of stubborn constipation?
Has her blood pressure improved? Is it still too high?
Is the glandular action throughout her body functioning satisfactorily? If not, what action should be taken? IF Thyroid is needed should a metabolism test be taken or how should dose be determined?
In her school she now has gymnasium class once a week. Also plays Speed Ball. I don’t know the game but believe it is related to basketball. She also wants hanging rings at home on which to do stunts.
Is this sort of thing beneficial or harmful to her? Should the gymnasium work be limited and if so in what way? Should the hanging rings be denied or given to her?
How are her eyes? Do they need any attention and if so what should be done?
In the past we have touched chiefly on her kidney-bladder ailments and related troubles. Has she any other troubles and if so what should be done about it?
Should there be any change effected in the diet or treatment outlined in former readings.
Three months back her menstrual period was nine days late and last month was fourteen days late. When this occurs she complains of feeling “stuffed” and is greatly relieved when the function begins. Is this serious for her and what is suggested as a correction.
Due solely to financial reasons I have been unable to have work started on straightening her teeth. Does this delay hurt her condition?
When should we have another reading? I have no way of knowing and should not want to let it go too long. [2841]
